Seven Hills Golfers Club
About
Seven Hills Golfers Club in Spring Hill is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, a relatively secluded location that makes this course a hidden gem. Locals know that the course is one of the best golf values in the area. The links-style layout has appeal for players of any skill level. There are interesting risk-reward opportunities throughout and the fairways are wide and player friendly. The golf course has a few lengthy and narrow holes, which makes it play longer than what's indicated on the scorecard. The layout's par 3s are particularly challenging. In addition to some tricky doglegs, you'll encounter strategically placed bunkers guarding both the greensides and fairways. Your accuracy will be put to the test throughout Seven Hills Golfers Club but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

course needs a lot of work I didn't play there for a whole year and it still needs work
The effort for a transformation is there... But...
I didn't like putting on these bumpy and weird grass greens... A lot of weeds and many types of local grasses are growing everywhere... So... The beginning of the improvements is here now, but we are just beginning. So in the end not so good...
Great course for the price!
Played this course while visiting my daughter and family while a raging blizzard was happening back in North Dakota. Course. Was in pretty good shape and very affordable thanks to Military Tee Times.com. would definitely play here again when I'm in town!
Fun warm up course
Fun little track for first game in 10 weeks. Not in great shape. Not going to complain when I only paid 12.00. Will play again for the value.
Don't waste your money
We have given this course more than enough chances to come back to good conditions but they have failed. First thing is how dry every thing is! They should be putting at least 800K water every night and my guess their just spot watering, The greens are horrible and bunkers were raked a long ago. The company that takes care of it "Davey Tree " should be fired. Given 5 guys and water I would have this course in great shape in a couple of months.
Poor condition
At one time this was our favorite course. Now it's not even worth the $20.
A $12 Hot Deal? No Wonder it Was $12
This was our first and unfortunately last round at Seven Hills. The course has the potential to be a great course as the layout, location and staff are excellent. In its current condition, however, it's a wreck.
The course layout is great
The greens and fairways are improving but much work needs to be done to get it to it's potential. We will play it again in a few months and continue to follow the improvements. Love the course layout. Needs some landscaping in front of the building to make it more welcoming, a few plants/bushes and bark can go a long way.
Course has gone downhill. Have played here before and staff was doing lots of work.
Fairways are now burnt out and greens as well.
Mostly won't be back even if price is right
Need TLC
The greens were in bad shape. This course is still struggling even after new ownership took over a couple of years back. The promise of a well maintained course has not been kept. $25.00 plus fees is too much for this course. $15.00 would make it tolerable. $28.00 to play Sherman Hills, which is in great shape is worth the extra $3.00
Sad course conditions
We played this for the first time since about three months ago and was so disappointed in how poor of condition this course has become. It was bad then, now even worse. We quit playing Oak Hills last year because it was like playing in a cow pasture and now this course makes it look like a well taken care of course. If you hit a great shot. middle of the fairway and you will spend a few minutes trying to find it as the grass is a lot of weeds and not mowed.. Greens might have one nice patch of green somewhere on it, but most weeds and dirt. I understand the new owners are trying to fix it, got burned by the previous owners, etc but the condition this is in, they are not going to make any money at all as I bet a lot of folks won't spend the money to play on this bad of conditions. We won't be back until I see constant GOOD reviews of the course.
I hoped!
When the new crew took over I had high hopes the course would improve quickly. I still have hope it will improve. It’s present condition, however, isn’t much better than before. One area where it has improved is the golf pro. I’m very thankful for that. I still enjoy the course layout , I just wish the improvements would be more noticeable.
Improvement is being made
Honestly I was all set to give 4 stars because of the improvement until I got to the 15th hole and the maintenance staff insisted on spraying fertilizer on the greens in front of me on 15 and 16. the green on 15 turned my ball blue. I skipped 16. Seems like this is something that should be done after hours instead of while golfers are on the course.
There is noticeable improvement on the course though. The tee boxes are 100% better. The fairways are still needing work but you can see where they have treated them for the weeds and are mowing them. The greens look much better but still have a ways to go. I played this course July 6th also and the improvement between then and the 22nd was amazing. New management is working on getting this course back in shape and it looks like it is headed in the right direction now.
Course was not well kept
This course had grass growing in the middle of the Fairway inside the bunkers. Bunkers were not raked out, grass uncut lose your ball in the middle of the Fairway because the grass was too high totally totally disgusting.
Such a disappointment
I was the other car in the lot the last reviewer referred to last Saturday. So sad to see this course in the decline it's in now. With the new ownership I had high hopes they would bring this course back to life. Last fall things started looking up as the owners did a lot of work on the course and had the condition heading in the right direction but since the snow birds left the course has went down hill fast. It's worse now than it was before the new ownership came in. You literally can not tell the difference between the fairway and the rough. I've never had to spend so much time searching for a ball in the fairway. It isn't just tall grass. There are lots of weeds in the fairway too. I don't think it's due to the weather that they aren't cutting. I played other courses in the Brooksville area the same week and all of them were being maintained. The greens are in poor shape for the most part with a lot of weeds and the bunkers are full of grass and weeds. I play this course because it's a mile from my home but I'll drive a little further to play on a course where the owners care about the golfers and the course from now on.
Seven Hills Golfers Club
I have played this course several times in the last couple of years but not in maybe the last six months. I got a great "Hot Deal" from Golfnow.com. I arrived on a very hot Saturday around noon and the parking lot was almost empty. I checked in, got my cart and headed out to the first tee. The carts are newer Yamaha golf carts but are gas and I enjoy the more quietness of electric carts. I guess because of the recent rains they seemed to be behind in the course mowing as the fairways were rather tall and hard to find your ball even when you hit down the middle. Half the greens are in bad shape, and the traps have a lot of weeds so they've been neglected too. Very disappointing to see such a nice little layout receive so little attention. Carts paths are bumpy rough, bunkers are weed overgrown with little amounts of sand. The owners obviously are struggling but when a course gets this bad people find other places to play. The only good thing I can say is that after a 42 on the front I birdied 4 in a row on the back nine and shot a 34; absolutely hit several stiff at the flag and just missed a 5th in a row on 16. If you're new to the game and want to play cheaply this is a good place. If you've been playing a while you'll be very sorry you played at Seven Hills (in it's current pitiful condition). I won't be back until I read better comments. You'd think with all the nice homes that line the course that they would support it better financially. If it goes under so will their property values.
