Ater hurricane Irma - not fit for play
I assume because of maintenance issues after hurricane Irma, We had to skip around to different holes to avoid flooding - cart path only - this made for slow play. rough was way to high - some hits were lost in the fairway, The greens were not really puttable - too coarse, tall and way way to slow - I would give this course more time to come back to it's former self.
Good Value
Course was in great shape just after hurricane Irma, a little wet but to be expected. The greens were in good shape but slow. Well worth the money.
Good course slow greens
Like the layout. The staff is super friendly and helpful but the course was ruined by the super slow greens
I WAS IMPRESSED
We had played here a few times before and were surprised to see the restaurant was gone. There was a trailer with 3 porta potties each which was quite disappointing. However the golf course and this is what is really important was excellent through and through. The greens were the best I have played on in a long long time. The visuals from the private jets taking off and landing was awesome. We will be back and it will be soon.
Slow
Greens are slowest I have ever seen. Use a hybrid to putt.
Needs water and some TLC
Fairways are all but dead and very dusty. I play usually 3 or 4 times during my stay but will have to take a look from now on regarding the conditions. By the way it has a great layout with very interesting and challenging holes. I know the other place is important but don't forget this one.
Gem
Surrounded by over priced courses this place was great. Total barging! Played 2 times in a week and both times flew around the course. Greens were very consistent and in great shape. Give it a try and I don't think you regret it.
Great Time!
This was our first time playing the Blue/Gold course and we had a great experience. We will definitely play the course again during our stay in Stuart.
Course Conditions
The Gold and Blue at MC was in excellent condition, both the fairways and greens were the best I have seen in the past 20 years.
Good price
What a great price 20$ for a Friday tee time at 1100, but course conditions were average at best and the noise from the airport was really awful, but at 20$ it's worth a try if you can't find anywhere else to go.
Excellent layout for a classic design
Played gold/blue. 6220 from the blue tees. Greens were accommodating and nicely groomed. Fairways were modest and some scrub areas. Traps were in good shape. Pace of play on second nine was slow. Absence of marshals was a slight concern. Friendly staff, busy neighboring airport.
Great value for money $25 w/cart at 11:00 am mid week.
Poor pace of play
We saw people driving around in golf carts, but no enforcement of pace of play. The first 6 holes had no one in site, but caught up to pack on #7. On back nine the players piled up with 1 group on fairway (not on green yet) and 3 groups (we were last) waiting. We actually skipped 3 holes and played 17 & 18 with no one behind us. Most people cannot play well when waiting 10+ min on tee box and 5 min to play second shot.
Not Bad at all
Read some reviews and was skeptical but when I showed up the course was fairly busy for a Monday morning. I thought what the heck give it a chance and I'm glad I did.
It's not a 5 star course but it's fun and can be tricky at times. The course really feels like a FL style course and quite interesting listening to the jets take off all day at the airport there.
I'd recommended it to any one who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg and just wants to get out and have a little fun,
Martin County
To get to the Gold was a long drive then to get to Blue was longer. Not any amenities along the way and the beer cart only came by once. Play was slow and course not in the best shape. Greens were VERY slow.
