Nice course and nice day. Not to tough a few challenges. Fairways were nice and green and maintained. Staff was quite young but eager to help. Nice tine overall and we will be back.
I decided to play The Ponds with a buddy of mine, for the first time. I was told by others that their experience at the course several years before had not been enjoyable, so I was skeptical of following through with the tee time. I'm glad I did, because I was told the course is now under somewhat-new management, and man have they done a great job! The grasses and bunkers were very well maintained- especially the greens. Despite the large amount of wetland and hazards on the course, it was a great experience and round.
Pace was slow. Overbooked. Was waiting on every hole.
Nice track. Conditions were ok for being early season, will be better in summer. Friendly staff, and nice bar area and patio to grab a beer after your round.
Good value, friendly staff
The course features 27 holes, I played the red and blue sides most recently. The course provides an excellent value and is moderately difficult. It is not a course that has striking features and the primary difficulties lie around some of the wetland characteristics of some of the holes. All in all a fair value and enjoyable time.
I like the three 9 hole layout. The greens and fairways are in really good shape.
I like playing this course. The tee boxes need work. Otherwise, it's in really good shape.
Can't decide on how I feel
This course is average in my opinion, the conditions are fine and the staff is alright but I just can't fall in love with this course. I got my first eagle on the 2nd hole and I will always remember that hole but I can't say any of the rest of them stuck out in my mind as something I have to play again. Value is fine, the carts are old and need updating. Especially when a lot of tracks near the Ponds have recently purchased new Yamaha carts. I was quite surprised at how old these carts seemed. Clubhouse is okay, more of a restaurant with a piece of it devoted to the golf shop. Nothing impressive but it gets the job done. I have always liked their food and people seem to enjoy the bar. Driving range is across the street but its a range you can swing your driver so thats nice. Decent track, but for the money, I am going to play a different course.
the course is way too marshy. there are not water traps but marsh traps. one of the holes had no fairway, complete marsh. Bring lots of extra balls with you if you play this course, you will lose them!
Despite all the water on the course, I liked it. When the course Fry's out it should be in great shape
No matter how much you pay to play, we should have all the tee markers and such. Did not have any on 2 holes and one on 4 holes. All ball washers had no water. But they want their $$$$$$$
Loved the course layout-creative and well designed. Not very long/ great for 200-250 drives.
Couple problems- Howie signs were in horrible shape and ramps on and off wooden bridges in bad need of repair.
Greens rolled very nicely!
Had a good time
The course was in good shape, it's a fun and challenging course ! My only complaint would be that there appears to be two different sets of carts there and we got the ones that looked like it was from the 70's and sucked to drive cause there was no middle throttle, it was either off or wide open, so driving slow was not a option.
But besides that I feel like it was a great course for the price!
Thank you for the 4-Star review! We are glad you had a fun round, while still enjoying the challenge the course has to offer. We're happy you found value in the course! Come play again soon!
