Staff was atrocious
No drinks on the course and brat, hotdogs or pulled pork for lunch when I mentioned the lack of food and drinks on the course the workers response was very rude and condescending .
Disappointed
Arriving for our t times at 10:35 for an 11:00 t time because we like to be a little early so we have time to load our clubs and use the restroom before teeing off after checking in was told I couldn't get a cart key to make sure we didn't tee off before our t time and I was to come back to the clubhouse at 11 to get a key. Shortly after I was refused a key my male partner went in and got a cart key for us , guess if this course is having problems with people starting early maybe a starter would help instead of refusing women cart keys. I have never had a problem here before so hoping they can figure this out before loosing business.
Not surprised. Let me guess ... it was the blond on a power trip who refused you a key and told you to return at 11 for your 11 teetime. That by itself proved the incompetence of a so-called manager.
Somebody Should
Somebody should open up a golf course here.
What a cluster "F" for pro-shop management. Totally clueless and rude.
They advertise three days of First Come First Served ... then when you try to check in they claim they are packed / over booked and had a shotgun. What kind of idiot advertises 3 days of "First Come First Served" and then has an 11 AM shotgun. (Such BS)
The sign on the door says "Masks Required" but the blond behind the counter is "special" so doesn't wear one. A defiant violation of State Mandate and irresponsible behavior.
Terrible pace of play
Terrible golfer mgmt in terms of pace of play. Tee-times seemed irrelevant. People just teed off whenever they got to the tbox. Greens were nice, but many tboxes were so chewed up and muddy with no flat ground to setup. Disappointing. Also wasn't aware they didn't allow walking on the wknd because when I prepaid the rounds, prices were advertised a "walking price", but when we got there they told us walking wasn't allowed on wknds. Trust me, walkers aren't the reason there's slow play out there. Haha. I won't be back. Too many better options to play....
The blond broad "managing" the place doesn't know her azz from a hole in the ground when it comes to golf but at least she's honest and admits they TRIPLE BOOK TeeTimes. And you wonder why it's SLOOOOOOOOOW.
Nice Local Course
The Ponds is a reasonably easy course. The course does have some challenging holes, but for the most part, is relatively open. I started the round pretty well. I would say, I had a T-Time at 3:21, in the pro-shop, he said there wasn't anyone ahead of me so I could head out. I got to the first t-box, and two guys came up in a cart and went ahead of me. I don't know if they actually had a T-time or just showed up and went out. Didn't matter to me all that much....just kind of strange. The day was beautiful tho a bit hot, not a lot of breeze. Everything was in pretty good shape! I wish people would fix their ball marks, nice true greens, but so many marks.
Course is in great shape!
I walked 9 early in the morning and the humidity, along with no breeze made for a tougher round as the bugs were aplenty. Course itself was in great shape overall. Being the first time I've walked the 'Red' course, some of the distances between greens to the next tee box was farther than I would have liked on a day like that. The people working the course were pleasant to deal with and the couple of employees I came across that were mowing the fairways and greens were very courteous as I played my way around them.
Terrible Pace of Place
Play was terrible with members going wherever they felt like.
This is what happens when you have NO starter and NO ranger. In addition the way the course is laid out it is difficult to control the "locals" who think the course is their own private practice facility and don't treat the course with respect. (Rules and Guidelines)
Wished we could of golfed
Unfortunately we were unable to golf the course as our daughter inlaw had her baby, but that’s as good as a hole in one!!
Ray J67
this very challenging course if your a beginner but for those who are not they find as fun course to play
Father's Day
What better than playing golf with your son's.
Played at 9am and didn't have to wait or pushed
All the staff? Or just the haggard blond on a power trip?
