Nice Day for golf
Fairways great and sand traps okay. Greens medium speed and slow speed. Some tee boxes had no grass. Grew up playing on this course. Unfortunately hasn't been the course I remember how tip top shape it once was. Hopefully it will be like that again.
Great local course
I play Tashua all the time -- would consider it my home course. They keep it in excellent condition and it's a fun layout. It's challenging without being obnoxious and offers something for everyone. The forward tees take the sting out of it for new players and playing from the tips offers a nice challenge. Good variety of holes that make shot selection come into play. This is not a "bomb and gouge" course the way some muni's tend to be.
Tashua Knolls 4th July week
Its a fun course to play. Little of a challagne playing from the blacks. Greens great shape and fariways and tee boxes and rough. Little pricey for out of resident. One of the best courses in CT.
Well maintained, fun to play, very accommodating staff
Fun to play in that you neeed to think your way around, especially from the back tees. Surprisingly great greens for a public course, good speed and true. They ran true and fast even in November. Some nice risk/reward especially on the back side, driveable par 4 and a few doglegs where you take on as much as you want - or shouldn’t. Terrific supporting amenities 2 practice greens, chipping area, driving range, and a separate club repair shop.
Modern and comfortable grille room-good as any private club.
Tashua Glenn
Great course! Staff is very friendly. The Glen is fun and the greens are great. Wish the weather was better. The greens were medium speed. What was great was I timed it perfect that when I finished. It started to pour. Definely a short quick fun course. Will be back! Alot of Par 4s and 3s. A fun par 5.
Tashua Knolls GC The Knolls
My brother and I played at the Knolls today. The course conditions were good. Thr course isnt diffult course. But the greens are very tricky. Very small and sloping. Not many straight putts. Some dog leg rights and lefts on the course. The par 5s are short and same as the 4s and 3s. I'm so happy that the Us Amauters tournament playing my course that I grew up on! If your in the area of Fairfield County. It's definitely a course to play on your list. All whole staff gets a thumbs up at Tashua.
Tashua Knolls
Great course and very generic style golf course. It's a 9 hole short executive style course. Alot of par 3 and 4s. The last hole is the 9th hole and it's a par 5. Only par 5 on the course. The greens and fairways are in great shape. Greens are slow. Bunkers are in great shape as well. Definitely will be back to try the Knolls. It's always been a great golf courses.
Good day of golf
The course is in very good condition. We played in 4 1/2 hours. There were waits on 3-4 tees, but things moved at a reasonable pace. Several new tee boxes make for great tee shots. Club selection off tee is key as there are a number of dog legs. Big greens with bunkers protecting most of the holes making approach shots challenging enough. Greens are in good shape -- a few were soft after weekend rains, but no big complaints. Good day.
mixed bag
One of the starters in particular will make your experience miserable from the start.
Besides being a nasty sort, he doesn't know what he is doing!
I have had five plus hour rounds and nine holes that would have taken over two and 1/2 had I not walked off after three holes.
No rangers except those filling the water coolers.
Always a nice day out
The course is always in good shape and the greens are fast and tricky. One of the best muni courses in the state.
Excellent golf experience.
Course has 27 holes...main course (The Knolls) has very scenic views and opened for play in 1976. Very busy course but play progresses at a reasonable pace. Course is well maintained and greens are excellent. Staff at the course are pleasant and very service oriented. The club also has a first-class club repair and fitting center as well as some excellent practice facilities (range, short game practice area, and several putting greens). Would highly recommend to any reasonably experienced golfer of any handicap but who is also attentive to being efficient in their pace of play.
Tashua Knolls
Very nice course and facility. Good variety of hole layouts with challenges for skilled and novice golfer alike. Some water, but not a lot. Tree lined, but not so tight that higher handicap players won't be able to keep some balls in play. Greens were in pretty good shape and course overall was in good shape. Facilities including club house and practice greens were nice - didn't use driving range. Would definitely recommend and will definitely play again.
