Woodland Hills
Woodland Hill is an overall below average course. The only thing easy about it is the distance of each hole. The drives off of each hole do offer an open fairway. But once you reach the fairway you find that the grass is not kept up . The greens are a little better than the fairways. They are supper slow and have little break in them at all. If you are looking for a relaxing and easy course than this is the place. But if you don't hit the fairway then don't expect to find your ball. The rough is super tall grass and even woods.
overpriced at $13
At $13 to play this course, I over paid by $10, it was sad to play last year, and even worse this visit. What's with chopping all the trees down.
Great for the price
We had a great round!!! Under $15 and a nice leisurely pace. They are also remodeling so I'm excited to see how the course gets better. I will definitely be back.
A Very Enjoyable Experience
So many times, when traveling and booking on-line they are not so excited to see you, but these folks were. They were extremely nice and personable. The course was in good shape. It is an excellent value for the money
Good Course
For a rural Course, Woodland Hills is not bad at all. The majority of holes are very playable and the conditions do take away from your round at all. I found a great deal on Golf Now and the woman at the desk was extremely nice and helpful, even offering me some coupons with my round. I'd recommend it to anyone who would rather enjoy a round of Golf rather than stick their nose up at a course's conditions.
Needs a lot of work and time to recover
I played this course a aver a year ago and it was OK but this trip was the worst shape that I have ever seen. The greens were very bad and imposable to putt. We lost at least a dozen balls in the fairway rough. I lost a couple of balls in the fairway. I will be a long time before I play there again.
this course need a lot of work, very poor condition
this course was in very bad condition, the bunkers has very stall grass in them, the fairway was not cut, and the greens was unplayable, in very bad conditions....the overall course was in very bad condition
No upkeep
No grass on the greens, weeds everywhere, logging trails across course. I think they're about to sell or close. Terrible conditions. It's a shame, cause the layout is great. Will never return unless major improvements are made!!
$25 is too expensive for this course
Staff was unfriendly. He did not believe that the golfNow deal included a bucket of range balls. I politely showed him that every tee time they offered on GolfNow included a bucket. He reluctantly gave one to me and told me to never expect that again. Course conditions were horrible. One green was actually the fairway cut shorter. Never play this course. I will never play it again.
greens gone
greens are completely gone. i think they should close the course. layout is just fine but traps were gone and greens had no grass.
GREAT POTENTIAL, UNREALIZED
The layout of this course is fabulous. There are many places to reconsider your choice of shot. A little left or right on many holes changes the appearance of the hole and the way it should be managed. Unfortunately, the bunkers need a lot of work and should all be marked as under repair and the fairways and greens are in very poor condition and recent deforestation for additional building of houses has further damaged the playability of the course. With time, work and money, it could be the best course in the area, but a decision needs to be made to bite the bullet.
Very friendly folks and at one time I played there weekly. However, to preserve the condition of my clubs, I usually now play elsewhere.
Never play here again
I have been playing golf for over 35 years. I have played hundreds of different courses. I can say without any hesitation, that this was the worse shape of any course I have EVER played. The greens were mostly dirt and/or cracked dry mud. The fairways were mostly weeds that looked as if they had not been mowed in weeks. You would spend five minutes every hole looking for your ball that was in the middle of the fairway, but not visible in the 10 inch high weeds. Really wish the guy behind the counter that gladly took my money would have had the decentcy to tell me the conditions before I paid.
Played it about 5 years ago and it was very nice. Does not look anything like that anymore... Absolutely awful... Greens literally have no grass on
Played it about 5 years ago and it was very nice. Does not look anything like that anymore... Absolutely awful... Greens literally have no grass on them. We got a deal on golf now for 11.00 per player and it was not even worth that!!!!!
It's really too bad because it could be a beautiful place.
Not a great course
Woodland Hills has been deteriorating over the past few years, and it continues. Many of the greens are in extremely poor condition. Fairways are thin grass, and tee boxes are sparsely grassed and uneven. "Sand traps" have no sand Even at the price we paid, it was hardly worth the money.
Don't waste your money
It is hard to call this a golf course. It resembles an abandoned field. The fairways are weedy, rocky, and hardpan. The greens are a joke, muddy, and rocky. The bunkers are just holes in the ground, without any sand. There is no evidence that anyone maintains this course. It should not be in the Golfnow network, and perhaps should not even be a rated course. Buy a round here at your own risk.
Great Course for the Money!
It is by far the best deal of golf I have been able to find around Columbus. 18 holes of golf, cart fee, range balls, and on a Sunday was only $20. Its hard to beat that. A very nice course with some challenges that test your skill. Enjoyed it very much and will be going back every Sunday for my golf addiction.
I really enjoyed course........challenging me
The greens were in great shape. For the money it is well worth it.
ok course
The place needs a lot of attention from the cart paths to the fairways but you get what you pay for.For the price its alright
