Great course, great value
I stopped off on my way back from the coast to check out the course, as I heard so many good things about it. I teed off around 2 pm on a Sunday and it was busier than I was expecting, but the pace of play was still very, very good.
I played the brown tees, which play long for an average golfer. The wind also plays a big role. The greens killed me. They were very, very fast. The guy I played with said he plays there often, and the greens are usually quick, but this was faster than normal.
You can't go wrong with this course. Great value, just prepare yourself for some fast greens!
Great course
I loved this course. Very tough but great shape. Next time I come to Greenville to visit family, I plan on playing there again
Excellent condition
Cutter Creek is the most well kept public course in the area. The greens are fast and consistent, the layout is challenging for all skill levels, and the scenery is wonderful. I play cutter every chance I get.
Beautiful and Challenging Course
Every part of the course was in great shape. Good mixture of hazards. I played bad but I still enjoyed the round because the course was pretty. The only frustration I had was the greens were extremely hard and fast. I was able to putt well so I didn't hate the greens but I had a very hard time stopping the ball on approach shots. I'm not a great golfer by any means but there were a few that came in at a high angle and still didn't stop which surprised me. Overall a good course but it would have been more fun if the ball stopped easier.
Very good track in remote area worth the trip
Cutter Creek is an excellent value and fine course. The layout is challenging but fair, even the 474 yd. par 4 into the wind 14th, and fun to play. If it was more accessible, we would play it more than once every 6-8 weeks but worth the trip.
Great course, conditions, and staff--again
I love this course. It's offers plenty of challenge from the appropriate tee box, and conditions have always been great. The greens roll fast and very true. Love the greens. Also, it's a very private golf experience as there are almost no houses on the property, yet. Tremendous value. The staff is also great--very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Food is good too. I only wish it was closer to Raleigh! But, then it probably wouldn't be the great value/hidden gem that it is.
Cutter Creek
The course was in excellent shape. Great course.
This course has great features
This course is always in great conditions, greens are firm, friendly staff, enjoyed the round.
Great golf
Great place to play. Hope to get back there soon. The course is set up nice.?
Nice Course!
Nice layout and friendly staff. Pace of play was slow but fun course to play.
Outstanding for the money!
CC was in great shape. You actually get true reads on the greens. Tee boxes were manicured nicely, and traps were well maintained. Staff was pleasant. If you want a course that will give you a challenge from each tee box CC should be on the list.
well maintained
even though not much up and downs still fun to play. well maintained fair ways. green rolls very well.
The Best
I drive 1 hr 15 minutes to play this course. It is the best course around. I have never heard a bad thing from anybody that has played there. It is the first course I tell everyone about. Greens ar perfect.
Great Experience
First time playing here but won't be the last. Course is in great condition and the staff is wonderful. A nice touch sending me an email thanking for booking a tee time and one after the round hoping I enjoyed it and asking me to come back. Looking forward to my next round here.
Great course to play
I've played Cutter Creek a number of times and it has always been in good condition in every season. Great course for all skill levels - challenging for beginners and good players alike. Beautiful landscaping and great, friendly staff. Good course for women golfers. Bring extra balls - there are hazards!
Always a great round
Have played here many times since it first opened, I've said to anyone who has asked me....this is the best course east of 95. Great layout ,challenging but fair, always delivers. Love the par 3s...each one is a challenge, but rewards a good shot. Check it out if you get the chance!
cutter creek
the course is in great shape and the greens are extremely quick.
the staff here is awful and they are a bunch of pretentious pricks along with the members that can't break 90 but want to have an attitude and act entitled.
Best Course East of I-95
Super Nice course. One of the best courses in Eastern North Carolina. Great Staff .... The whole layout is Super Nice.
A gem in Eastern North Carolina
This was my second time playing Cutter Creek. I last played it about 4 years ago. This course is in GREAT shape, from the tee boxes to the fairways to the greens, which are very quick I might add. The rough is tough but not unplayable. This course has a nice variety of holes with long par 4's and short ones also that give you some options. The staff and the locals were very friendly. Being from Georgia I am used to golf courses with a lots of hills. This course is pretty flat but can play very difficult depending on the wind. I can't wait to play here again on my next visit to the area.
Great course
My favorite course to play within 60 miles of Raleigh. Course couldn't be in better condition. Impossible to get a bad lie in the fairways. Lots and lots of traps. Need to bring your "A".
