Excellent Course - Highly Recommend!
Cutter Creek is an absolute GEM! Unfortunately, it's a little over an hour drive for me from Raleigh, but definitely worth it, and I highly recommend for anyone looking for a great course to play.
Truly Outstanding
Been playing golf for 30 years and have played hundreds of golf courses. Cutter Creek is truly one of the finest that I've ever played, at any price. This golf course is an incredible bargain. We played 36 holes on a Saturday for $64 and loved it so much we came back and played another 36 on the following Monday. The greens were the best I've ever played...seriously. The ball rolled straight and true, no hops, no bumps...just pure putting. You put a good stroke on it, it goes exactly where you hit it. Fairways and tee boxes both excellent condition. We played in the off-season so the rough was mostly dormant. Quality layout with enough hazards to keep your attention but not so many that it makes the golf course too difficult. Excellent selection of tees...just make sure you play the correct set. This place is pure golf. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a golf course as much as I enjoyed this one. I can't strongly recommend this course enough to players that love the game and love a quality golf course. Now, if the owners only have enough sense to NOT line every hole with houses....but that's probably too much to ask.
Weekend Favorite
Cutter creek is a little over an hour from my home and I travel to play it as often as I can. Layout is challenging from any tee box, especially on a windy day. 13-15 is one of the toughest 3 hole stretches of any of the nearly 200 courses I've played. Plenty of elevation changes, water and bunkers for even the lowest of handicaps, but enough tee's for the weekend hacker to have fun. Greens are slick, but putt and read very true. Course is meticulously maintained and the well stocked clubhouse maintains a down home atmosphere. Definitely advise purchasing a yardage book or bringing a GPS, as the course is strategic if you want to stay in the FW's and hit greens. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a Championship experience without the $100+ price. Also one of the few courses that I've played in NC that remains green through the winter. Warm up on their abundant range, pitching green and ensure to spend some time getting used to the greens.
Hidden Gem
Cutter Creek is one of those courses you only hear about but never find. It is tucked away in the small town of Snow Hill North Carolina just a short drive from Goldsboro. Always in great condition and never over crowed. Well worth the drive a pure gem!
