We started as a twosome and ended up adding a third that was playing up behind us. We still had to wait on almost every shot on the back nine. The course lay out is really nice and the differences in the fairway, green collars and rough were nicely done. The greens were pretty slow which was true the last time I played there so I think that’s their normal. I was disappointed in the bare patches sprinkled across most greens.
If the greens fill in and were a little faster, this would be a great course not a good course.
Good Value
Some of greens certainly need some work but for the price can’t complain too much. Keep your head on a swivel on the back. Lots of blind tee shots where people can hit into you if there not checking.
Quaker Creek
Hidden gem. Great course, look forward to playing it again.
Met a friend (s)
No matter how far you travel, golf will bring new and old friends with it. Arrived as a single player and ended with two friends and met a an old one.
Course was great as usual, particularly the greens.
Will return soon.
Great Course poor green management.
The course is great shape but still the same as last time greens not to good of shape Golfers must learn to reoaire there ball marks must redo thete greens they are pitted shame hopefully since The Challenge bought the course the will fix the greens other than that good course very challenging.
Just ok...
Bent grass greens really showing signs of stress, several greens in sub par conditions...fairways in great shape...for the money, not the worst option...just OK
solidly easy course needs a bit better maintaining
everyone was nice and the course is nicely laid out, straightforward. But the grass other parts are not well maintained, especially the tee boxes.
Friendly fairways
Enjoyed the round playing with some new golfers. Pace was fast even though course was busy. Nice folks working there. Good price. Grass on wide fairways was great, but most greens were worn and thin. Not much chance to sink a 20-footer as ball danced around rough marks and some bare patches. Good place to learn or for folks who don't take putting too seriously. Will take novices there again.
Good value
Bermuda tees and fairways were great. Bent grass greens were spotty on some holes but overall a fun day.
Ok Course
Bermuda grass tees and fairways were in great shape but still has bent grass greens. Greens are small, hard domes that rolled about like wax paper, but were clearly cared for. If the course was in my backyard I would play it often, but don’t plan on driving an hour very often.
Enjoyable course with a variety of different hole layouts
Really enjoyed playing this course. Fairways and greens in good shape. Our group drive over an hour to play here. Nestled away in a beautiful atmosphere of rural NC
Great Course for Value
Very quaint, open, and fun course. Fairways and rough are in great shape. Greens are small and some could use a little work but fret for the most part. This is a fantastic course that is fun to play for golfers of all skill levels and the best value for your money. I will keep coming back for sure!
Not a bad little country course
My review is consistent with the others. Pros... price and the course is in good shape from the tees through the fairways. Once you get around the greens, that's where the course is lacking. The bunkers are full of swarming hornets and are not being kept up. The greens are really slow, full of pitch marks, and a few are suffering from bald spots and weeds. The course is wide open so good for players who have trouble keeping it straight. Clubhouse is a trailer so nothing fancybbmy review might sound negative but I'll say this ..the course is in the middle of the country. But it's better than what you might expect. It's not just a cow pasture with 18 holes. It's a decent course. The rough is not talk but it's thick so it can be penalizing. I got it on a hot deal so it was worth the price. Oh, and as others have stated they don't seem to be taking covid very seriously. And if you all want your own cart they charge extra.
Great fairways very slow greens
Off the tees and the andings were excellent. Found the greens very slow but at least they had grass compared to other courses. Another great round in the country.
