Warrior
I've recently moved to North Carolina from NJ, this is one of the first golf courses I've really enjoyed playing. The fairways are in decent condition grass is burnt out but it's still early in the season. Greens are very nice, always maintained. Overall it's a solid course. Definitely recommend it.
post easterr round
Always fast greens and friendly staff.
Carts with gps make it even more fun.
Great layout
Very good greens very fair layout staff was really friendly.
nice greens
love this golf course but staff in pro shop could have been a bit more welcoming.
Warrior
Great Track... Friendly Staff.
Even with a lot of players out on the course pace was good, especially for a Sunday morning.
Great layout. Some condition issues.
Aways a fun place to play. Greens smooth and consistent. Some bunker reconstruction and tree world underway that will improve play. Tees still a ongoing issue. They are often uneven, rough and it's often tough to find a suitable stance. Otherwise a great round and looking forward to summer.
Great Winter Day at Warrior
Got a great deal for an afternoon round on GolfNow. Started as a single but joined up with a group as it was slow going on the course. (MLK Day) The greens were in excellent shape for mid-January, although I wish more poeple would fix ball marks. The course was in great shape, with the notable exception of the tee boxes, which have been an issue at Warrior for some time. The course is very playable and offers challenges and opportunity for all skill levels. I played well and shot 85.
Great Condition
The greens were in great shape and rolling true. The only complaint was most of the bunkers were under repair and in bad shape, but overall 5 stars.
Good Putting Surfaces
They had 3 hour delay I was told, then the pair we were joined up with was told that they had a tournament, needless to say we did not start on time and also had to start the round from the back 9, I like to play this course but it seems all people aren't treated the same here
Course was in excellent condition
We played at a moderate pace, but it was such a beautiful day it really did not matter. The course itself was in excellent condition for November.
Great greens
Rounds are expensive for the area but it's usually crowded so others must not mind. No walking rate but I do see others walking so it must be a members only thing.
Greens are always top notch. Recently they have struggled but I'm happy to say they are back to their normal great condition.
Tee boxes still lumpy and hard to find a level spot for both feet and ball. They are growing a little high which makes it a little tougher as well.
Burgers in the clubhouse were good but they have shrunk recently, unfortunately the price did not. Close up shop on food and bar early so eat early or pack a snack. Beer and soda always available in pro shop so no worries there.
Worth the drive-has promise!
Liked this place a lot! It's a bit of a drive from Charlotte but worth the time spent. We played on a beautiful Sunday morning and breezed around the course in just over three hours! My wife and I played from the gold tees and found the course challenging enough to hold our attention. Recommended-and it's a beautiful place.
great course
This is a great course. The only thing I have that's remotely negative is that some of the holes are really far apart.
Best around at this price!
This course is kept in great condition. The rates, especially in Fall, are extremely well priced for this course. Excellent greens, Sky Caddie GPS in the carts, and superior customer service. Great club for the money!
Good Value
Got a good price on Golfnow.com for a weekend round. To their credit, the course appeared to have lowered the price due to greens recently having been aerated. Greens were very slow due to recent aeration, but appeared full of good bent grass. Greens should be nice when they recover.
Great Course Layout & Challenge
This is truly a great course for the value, with friendly staff, good range, great conditions ( even for late summer), and an awesome layout through the hills/lakes.
Good course friendly staff
The course was in good condition, the staff was very nice, the front nine played a little slow because there was a foursome that took almost three hours to play the front nine, when i reaches the back nine there were two other singles that caught up with me due to the wait, so the staff at the club took us to another hole on the back nine where it was wide open and we just finished at that hole instead of 18. It took a little over three hours to finish the 18 all in all great course and will go back.
Good with some caveats
To start off with this course has all new golf carts. They are really nice and even smelled new. It was like getting into a new car. They have GPS installed, pockets near the ceiling for sunglasses and small items, they are electric, and have the system installed to alert you (and slow the cart to 2 mph) when you have gotten too close to forbidden areas. My first complaint - the alerting system went off all the time when I was on the cart path. It was so annoying to drive along and have the cart come to a crawl for no good reason. This happened way too many times. The GPS system offers to keep score and even has a clapping sound when you get a birdie - Nice touch.
The greens were way too soft. It hadn't rained in a while, so I'm not sure what was up. I had to dig my ball out of the green probably half the time because of the softness. Even walking on the greens left foot impressions. That makes putting exciting!
I arrived early and checked in. No one was in front of me, but the guy behind the counter told me I had to wait the 35 minutes until my tee time because that was the rules. Don't know why that's a rule.
Besides the greens, the rest of the course was in great condition. It was well kept up. I enjoyed this course quite a bit. Because I had to wait 35 minutes I had no one in front of me, so the pace of play was great. I didn't see another golfer out there until the 12th hole. I felt like I had the place to myself.
