Thistle Golf Club - Stewart Course

Always love playing @ Thistle… the winter overseed is excellent, new stacked sod bunkering looks tremendous and the greens tools smooth.

This is one of the best golf courses in the area. The greens are fast and true. The different tees make the course challenging but fair for all skill levels. The course is in excellent condition. The staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this golf course.

Course was pretty much wide open without too much character. Didn’t seem like difficulty matched course slope/rating. Overall, a ho hum round for $70!

Parce of play was slow, and threesomes were inserted wich made it even slower for them.
Teetime at 1:30, almost dark when finished. This added pressure on the back 9. But overall à good afternoon.

Really enjoyed my round at Thistle. Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was very good. Some very challenging holes paired with some easier ones. Highly recommend Thistle to anyone in the area -- local or visitor.

First time playing Thistle in a few months. Had 12 guys from our neighborhood playing. Did have a 30 minutes frost delay, but not unexpected. Given the cold weather over the past few days, was very surprised & pleased with the condition of the course and pace of play. Had the first 3 tee times and finished the front nine in under 2 hours. Little slower as we caught up to the last group that went off the other nine (Thistle has 3 nines). Still finished in 4 hours. Staff as always, was very helpful and professional. Always a pleasure playing a great course with a terrific staff & in great condition. Thanks for a great day.

I would definitely play again and recommend a must play golf course! Great layout, awesome driving range, but a little too small for high volume golf course. The greens rolled true and fast. Beautiful scenery though out the golf course, staff was friendly and helpful when needed.

Lovely golf course with an interesting and challenging layout for the first time at the property. Very good condition in the October sunshine.

Great course…great conditions…and very challenging.

Thistle GC is a 27 hole layout which boast water and plenty of sand. The staff greet you as soon as you pull up. They unload clubs, check tee time, give you range balls and send you on your way. The setup is very strategic and some would describe as over the top. The course is kept in great condition. Tee boxes filled with grass and the greens were well kept. Only 1 or 2 holes could you see some visible damage. Word of advice if it is your first time through, play it conservatively. Hazards will creep up on you with a quickness. It is pricey compared to some of the other surrounding courses, but you don't have to worry about lost greens, bare fairways or destroyed tee boxes. It's money well spent.

Loved the course, conditions and layout. We came from bald head island that morning and admittedly rolled in about 15 minutes before tee time. We jumped straight out and got our stuff ready. The bag/cart attendants were pretty hateful, even a little pushy about us moving faster. Oddly enough we were told to wait a minute that we had a group ahead of us to go first. He did apologize though and it was fine after that. Definitely recommend giving it a shot

Thistle is the nicest course I have played in the area. Very friendly staff and the fairways and greens were excellent. The pace of play was a little slow but only because we were behind a couple of slow foursomes. Biggest complaint was the parking area. I spent 10 minutes searching /waiting for a parking space.

Me and my family have short vacation in South Carolina Myrtle Beach. We played 4 different courses.
This one was definitely the best. It was worth for us to cross state lines (only half an hour drive).
Definitely be back and play one 9 that we did not play.
