All Good except pace of play
I like this course. I like to play here. It's always in good shape, and on this day, surprisingly good given the terrible storms the day prior. There was some standing water, and an occasional flooded trap, but much less than expected.
But the pace of play was horrendous. Five and one half hours for a round that started at 11:30 am. And no one seemed to be out on the course to determine why, or to push people along.
That said, it was an anomaly for this course, and it won't keep me from coming back.
Mom of a teenage golfer
As a mom of a 15 year old aspiring golfer, I would like to express my frustration in regards to ride alongs and rules prohibiting them . I am referencing specifically my frustration with The Links at Carillon.
I don’t golf, I don’t want to golf and I don’t ever plan on learning to golf. That doesn’t mean that I don’t love the sport, respect the sport or have the utmost respect for those who play. I was beyond disappointed today when I was told that in order to ride along with my son who still can’t drive a cart, I would have to pay to play, as well as rent clubs. The cart fee absolutely should be charged and I understand the insurance aspect 100%. Why can’t a parent ride a long with their child and just enjoy being on a beautiful course with them? I love it out there and I love being with my son.
I am hopeful that Golf Pros and Club owners alike contemplate their rationale for not allowing a day to be spent enjoying the wonderful game of golf together. Even if one of you doesn’t play.
A huge thank you to Old Oaks for allowing me to ride along. You made my day 😊 and my son was able to get 18 in.
Marshall saves the day!
We got behind a group who was really struggling. I get it, it’s Feb and the first time out can be tough. We got to hole 8 and the Marshall drove up to tell us to play the blue course instead of the white. 2:15 hr front nine 46, 1:15 hr back nine 39. It made our day, such a classy move! Thank you
The course is already in great shape and will only get better. The greens are quick and the sand is the best in the area. A great mix challenging and easy holes.
Blown away by price and quality of this round!
Was blown away by the pure attention to detail that the staff performed previous to us arriving. They had aerated some of the greens, which means that they are preparing for the fall, which shows that they care which I’ve been to previous courses before and they have yet to do any fall cleanup. I achieved my first birdie, and shot under 99, I will be back to play this course as it was extremely fun, but also challenging in some parts.

Carillon Links Courses are always maintained well. Bunkers are always raked out if you happen to land in one. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help if needed. And to top it off the pace of play is outstanding no 5-6 hour long rounds like many other courses in the area.
Carillon course
Great course, well maintained, fun to play … but definitely could use some direction signs to the next hole … we figured it out but it was not obvious and we had to cruise around looking a few times.
Very Nice fit to my senior player.
Perfect for senior player some of Bunkers dry,
Slow player on fronts , Ranger are late all player are slow.
Nice course
Played Red / White. Course was in good shape fairways and greens. I thought the greens were a little slower than I normally play. Wide fairways huge greens I was only in two bunkers and they were very playable and well maintained.
Pace of play was excellent as our foursome only waited on the 18 hole.Played in just under 4 hours.
Will definitely play again.
