Great course with friendly employees
Having golfed at Carillon 4 times, it has consistently been an outstanding golf experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the pace of play is typically very nice due to the 27 hole layout along with the course not overbooking tee times. I look forward to continuing to golf here frequently
Surprised
It been a while since I played this course. Not a fan of courses that play through housing developments. For that reason I have avoided playing here.
Surprised to remember how challenging the course plays. My biggest complaint is the tight OB the houses play.
Pace Of Play - was excellent as it was too cold for normal people.
Course Conditions - Course was in very good shape after steady rain the day before. seems to have drained well. The greens were fast and true.
Staff Friendliness - Staff was thin, and did not interact with them beyond the minimum.
Value For The Money- Relative to the cost of other nearby courses, this was a good value.
Course Layout - This covers the Red/White courses. Never have played the Blue. The highlight is playing the 9th hole of white. Rated as one of the toughest holes in the area.
On Course - Putt, Chip areas, Driving range.
Central snack shop to all 3 9s and bev cart service.
Off-Course Amenities - restaurant/ bar available, but did not stop by.. Full service Bar and Restaurant with banquet facilities.
Great price for a good course
It was like we had a private course. We didn’t have to wait at all. The carts are great with a screen as well a cover for the clubs in the cart.
We will be back again!
Good Conditions After Raining
Played in early afternoon after a huge rainstorm. Course drained extremely well and conditions were great, aside from some flooded bunkers. Course played at a decent pace. They did not send out a beverage cart after the storm and closed the halfway house, so could only get drinks from the clubhouse.
Long walks green to tee.
We played the red and white courses for 18 holes total.
The holes are not long, but the distances from the green to the next tee are quite a hike, so be advised you might want a cart. You fo cross several roadways . Our golf now hot deal, was 30 to walk (and we wanted the exercise, (boy did we get it. ) On the courses website it was $35 with a cart. This is a course for the mid to upper level golfer, not for novices.
The fairways on a few holes were dry but playable, the grees were in good shape. There's several ponds and small creeks/ditches on the course , mist don't affect play, but there are two forced carries on the par threes, and 9/18 on white is a drive over water except for the forward tees. With all the water (most of which doesn't come into play) there are several flocks of Canadian geese on the course.
If you walk, plan on 4.5 hours, so don't tee off late in the day.
Good game
Played after a heavy rain earlier today. Course was drawing well and in good shape. Greens are recently areated and are in good shape
Challenging But Fair
The course was in great condition. The greens and fairways are outstanding. The rough is thick, but fair. You get to use every club in the bag on the course. We played Red to White and had a great time and challenge. You will lose a few balls on stray shots in water and hay... Will definitely play again. Great layout and staff was good too.
