Good course
Played today weather was excellent, course was a bit soggy due to recent rains but had a good day overall.
Put on the boots
Course had many areas roped off. Greens were only thing that made this course playable. But not going to be a regular at these prices
Poor Experience
The course was in bad shape. Tee boxes were rough and many of the greens looked to have some type of fungus which resulted in large pock marks throughout the greens. The design itself was pretty bland in that many of the holes were the same. Pace of play was terrible and my group was waiting on just about every shot. To top it off my cart died on the 14th hole. Called he pro shop and they said they would send one out. Never happened until I reached the 18th tee. Fortunately I have a hybrid bag, so I carried my clubs from 14 thru 17. When I informed the pro shop of what had happened the attitude was less than professional. They couldn't care less. Definitely will not go back.
This place is a mess
Booked the west course, was put on East course due to over crowding on West.
#1 fairway under water and no signage on where to go or how to get around sitting water. Lots of sitting water on course without signage on how to go around it.
Approach shot from middle of fairway on 16, maintenance cart drives past me lining up for my shot. Guy drives his cart into green and changes hole position while I wait. No comment. No communication.
Shall I continue? Bad experience. Much better operations in the area.
Bad shape
Bad shape in general, no maintenance of bunkers, slow, patchy greens
Turtle Back Greens
Course layout is good. Too much watering from sprinklers, very soggy fairways and some greens.
Disappointed, expected much more.
My wife and I arrived for our last round before returning to UK after a great golfing vacation. First thing we thought unusual was the ‘Caddy Master’ or ‘Starter’ not sure which but he wore no badge and I had to ask him if he was the caddy man, a smile at anytime would have helped his cause.
The course (West) was the greatest disappointment, Tee areas and fairways passed muster but had areas that needed first aid. The sand traps (bunkers for UK) were a disgrace. Whoever thinks that driving a vehicle around the sand is adequate needs to look at other courses charging similar green fees. The sand traps also had significant amounts of loose rocks scattered throughout. The greens were slow and poor condition. The grass was too long and patches of grass missing. We did tee off at 13:45 so accept that there is grass growth during the day.
My comments may seem harsh but I am simply comparing with other courses we played in the past 2 weeks.
Ft. Lauderdale Trip 2019
For $35 it was a good deal. Regular price is $85. At that price, I would have been disappointed. Staff was friendly enough especially the cart gentlemen and the bar tender.
Nice place
Nice round with my wife. The threesome behind was very large and told us to enjoy and take our time.
You can see that there is work that needs to be done. Tee places was not very good . Greens was some places poor but still ok to play. We will defenetly come back. Ok discount by Golfnow.
Good Value
Good track Played as a twosome and finished in 3 hours You could tell management was trying to bring the facilities back to where they once were. Keep up the good work
Terrible Experience
I am a reasonable person and don’t tend to give negative opinions. I must say that I was really disappointed with this course - I didn’t like anything there. The greens were soft and slow. The tee boxes has mud on them and the course was not well maintained at all.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as it is one of the worst course I have played in the Miami/FLL area.
Better Than A Month Ago
But he the West and East course are in much better shape than last time we played there, which was about a month ago. The greens were in good shape and the fairways manicured. Definitely worth getting a round in.
Woodlands west
Quick round in under 3 hrs.Fairways and greens In good shape.Greens putting true. They could use some sand in bunkers. Was surprised by how the course was .From reviews I was expecting worse..Overall would recommend this course price was right better than others in Broward county.
Greens were in bad condition
We played the West course today. The starter must have let groups go off 10 because at the turn we had 4 or 5 groups in front of us when we were clear with no one in front on the front nine, we had to skip 3 holes to get back in a good rhythm as the wait was really bad, the greens had some rough spots and some had ripples....overall I think they knew the course needed some attention as the green fees were only $33...I would have been upset paying anymore
Good to play with friends
Greens of some holes r under badly reparing
Sand condition of the bunker r bad by players and never cared by management
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED...
Considering the fact that it's summer and ownership is in negotiations with a developer to convert the two courses into 500 new homes, the courses (west, at least) are being maintained in relatively good condition The greens--except for the practice putting green--are in decent shape, although hardly in competition condition. Due to abundant rain, the fairways are in roll-the-ball-over condition rather than play-it-as-it-lies condition. This condition is far better than most public-play courses in the area at this time. Summer staffing of lower-level support positions has the positions filled by non-golfers and others who have little exposure to the niceties of country club service policies. The bunkers need work, which is not unusual. Feedback from several sources indicates that carts are in some state of disrepair, however our cart performed its duty as expected. It appears that ClubLink is fulfilling its responsibility at a time and under circumstances where other facilities have allowed their properties to deteriorate. All in all, at summer rates at least, golf at the Woodlands is above average for this time of year. Incidentally, I live in this development in a home on the east course.
