West at Woodlands Country Club

This place has been around for years and I have played both courses many times. This are always in good shape and cant beat the price for summer golf. The only down side is the facilities are very outdated but the courses are always up kept well.

The fairways, tee boxes and bunkers were in good shape but the green were recently aerated. They were still very bumpy and have not recovered yet. Give it another 2 weeks and they should be rolling great.

Nice course. Used to be private but open to public now. It was uncrowded on Saturday afternoon. We started at 4:00 to avoid heat. It was overcast and sprinkling at times. Thunderstorms were all around but not over course, thankfully. Only one other group playing near us. We skipped one hole to avoid waiting for them. Green conditions still recovering from aeration from a couple of weeks ago, but quite playable. There were just enough hazards for my taste. Fairways were wide so I made quite a few more fairways than Tiger did on the same day at the Quicken Loans tournament. Used valet parking, but valet had gone home by the time we finished (around 8PM). The bartender had our car keys. All-in-all, worth a play if you live in South Florida. And it was only $20.

We played the East course because the Weather course had apparently just been punched. But the condition of the East course was terrible. Looked like the greens on the East course had just been punched. But for $20 I quess you can't complain!

the course was in great condition, and the staff was courteous and friendly. Pace of play was good with no delays. I will return to this course again with no hesitation

Both courses are very challenging. A lot of bunkers and the greens are fast.

It was a great day as the course was in excellent shape. The greens rolled fast and true. The fairways were in really good shape and I played the ball down with no problems. The bunkers were a little firm but in good condition. The staff was fantastic, grabbing my clubs from the bag drop and setting me up to go right away. The starter was very friendly with help and directions. The clubhouse staff was also helpful pointing me to a fridge with water, Poweraid and beers. It was an overall great outing. I'll definitely go back. Easy to get to right off commercial blvd. In Tamarac. 2 courses to choose from makes it even easier to get in a round of golf on short notice. 4 stars from me. Only negative is the drink lady on the course was only seen at the beginning of my round and then again around hole 15, thus the 3 stars for food due to choice that time of the day. Otherwise fun was had and any day on the golf course beats a day at work!

The course was nice but had to picture of any hole on the scorecard or at the hole so you are guessing where to go & where trouble was. Reminded me of a lot of the older courses in central Broward. Will play again & want to try the East Course.

There are no tricks to this course. It's very clean, very fast greens. It was crowded on Saturday but pace was pretty quick. Lots of water and bunkers around the greens. Greens are very large.

1st time playing, staff is very nice and great service. The green was in good condition.

Great track. Greens were GREAT. Challenging but fair and staff was great.

Good community country club course. Not too much water like many Florida courses have. Fairways, traps, greens and rough all in very nice condition in March play. Course was busy but pace of play was good. I was paired up with two very nice guys and had a great round. I would play here again. Overall very nice experience.

Played as a twosome and in 3 3/4 hours. Only complaint no one took my bag at the bag drop and waited 20 minutes for a very nice gentleman to locate my bag. The 2 young men were too busy talking to take my bag out of my car so I did it.

They put groups in front of us for the back nine which took three hours and twenty. Five hours and thirty total. Much much too long. I know they want to maximize profits but in doing so they lost our group forever.

Good layout, water and sand traps are well placed and not overwhelming. A few raps gave shallow sand that hide a hard base that will make your wedge bounce straight back up. A few easy par 3's and 5's will soothe the pains. . Played it in 3 1/2 hours in the afternoon - a good pace of play for a change. Greens are super fast and quite difficult - be sure you know how to read the grain. And then you'll still be wondering how to read them ! A good challenge. Avoid starter Ryan, he's rude, abrasive, super nervous and pushy. The other starter was a pearl - a real Jekyll and Hyde duet.

The course was in very good shape. The greens were very quick and were running true. Pace of play was also very good.

Very nice course, however a lack of water on the course and a cart lady that never appeared. We even called the clubhouse and requested service , she still never came.

Great reception

Played 36 holes in 8 hours on Saturday, so pace of play was fine. They did "split tees" but allowed us to play through after we finished our first nine on the back. Overall the conditions we OK.
