Solid 9 holes at the right time
Sydney is a really solid 9 hole course with some great lake views. The course plays to a fair length even though it's not the biggest piece of land. Considering how much play it gets, they do a nice job maintaining the course. Staff has always been friendly too. Be sure to go early though as pace of play gets slow pretty quickly within the day.
Terrible
First of teeoff never mentioned course was having construction and second not a word about greens being punched dime size holes. So over all it wasn't a good experience
Course is just about ready for the season
Everything was in good condition except the greens had been punched about a week ago. Understandably, they weren’t rolling very well.
Staff was super upfront and honest about the corporate outing ahead of us, letting us know play would be slow. They did a great job of keeping everyone moving though.
Nice view while enjoying a game of golf
Playing along the Lakeshore in Chicago makes you feel like the man - only thing that could make this course better would be for it to be private, and not a walking course. I played in the pouring rain but I still had a wonderful time because no one was in front or behind me, I played 9 holes in 80 minutes. I imagine when the weather is nice this place is full and not as fun to play. But the course is fun and there are some difficult, and some easy holes. All in all, not a bad way to spend $17 all said and done.
Convenience Golf
Love the course because it’s well maintained and conveniently located.
Great long 9 hole with lake views- just don’t expect a quick round!
Basically what the title says. I love this course but people always get bent out of shape waiting. It’s the busiest 9 hole course in North America, smack dab in the middle of the city. If you play here just remember that the people in front of you probably had to wait on someone who was waiting on someone. Good vibes only! Come to relax and don’t shoot balls at folks when there is a chance it will roll up on them :)
Great city course!
Love playing here right on the lake. My favorite part is that they have the Marshalls telling people to speed up play so it doesn't take 3 hours for 9 holes. Super friendly. Tricky greens and great course overall!
