Chisel Creek Golf Club
About
The popularity of Chisel Creek Golf Club in Landenberg can be partly attributed to the fact that it's easily accessible from Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. The natural features of the terrain were incorporated as much as possible, resulting in a layout that is more challenging than the scorecard would lead you to believe. It's seemingly short at just over 6,200 yards but you can expect a variety of elevation changes. The rough can be punishing and there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers as well as a meandering creek that comes into play throughout. Chisel Creek Golf Club's 14th is an especially tough hole that plays uphill and requires navigating your tee shot down a narrow chute. You'll be faced with a few blind shots and a few water holes, including one with an island green.

Great value for Saturday afternoon
Great Value through GolfNow.com.
Still early in the season but the best time to play here is in the spring. The greens were firm and fast. The heat of the summer can take it's toll on the fairways. No Liquor license as yet, so BYOB.
Great Course... Great Value
Great course for a good value.
If you are looking for a fairly priced course with well maintained greens and fairways this is a nice choice.
The Tee boxes were a little rough, but the fairways and greens were coming in nicely.
Course has some tricky holes, but it not too difficult.
I would recommend to play.
Also has driving range.
Good mix of holes
This course starts off with two cupcake short par 4's. After that, there is a good mix of long, tough holes and some interesting shorter ones. This was an early-season round, so the greens were just starting to grow and get into shape. All in all it is a pleasant track with very nice and helpful staff.
Great little course
This is one of my go to courses when I go with friends. It usually plays fairly easy but everyone can appreciate what the course has to offer. Very reasonable prices for the course and apart from being a little sloppy in some areas (lots of rain to start the season and some drainage issues on a few holes) it was in good condition.
If every where else is booked up....
On lower end of courses around the area. Not the most challenging. Biggest factor is usual sub par conditions as maintenence is concerned. Too much for a round compared to others in area with much better conditions.
Good Value
Course is in better condition. Looks like they are trying to take care of some drainage issues. Good valus for the money. Nice to be able to go out as a single most any day mid afternoon.
My son and I enjoyed this well laid out scenic golf course.
This is a very nice golf course with friendly staff. The greens are true, not too fast and very well maintained. The course has rolling hills and very scenic views from many of the tee boxes.
just the right amount of elevation
The fairways need some work! But the greens were shape`.But the blue tee boxes need some attention. .Didn"t get in any bunkers, but looked poor.
This is a great walking course
Even though it's getting towards the end of the season the course is very playable and the fallen leaves are under control. The greens are in great shape but there are a few fairways that will need attention in 2014.
A great course!!!
When I play at Chisel Creek. I always have a great experience. It's a well maintained course and the course itself challeges you to play your best game. I love Chisel Creek Golf Course and recommened that every golfer in the area play the course.

Greens are rolling very nice
fun course with a a lot of elevation changes. Watch out for number 7.
the changes to #18 make the hole play a lot better, maintaining the difficultly level while making it "easier to play. A great change.
Interesting variety of fairways with well maintained greens.
Enjoyed the course. Greens in excellent shape! Several challenging holes which require a lay up to avoid hazards.
Course conditions
Lot of undulating greens which made putting more difficult. Fairways spotty which made "rolling" necessary. No big deal but I don't think they have a liquor license.
Chisel Creek
Nice course that needs some work. Fairways overrun with weeds.
Challenging layout, great greens
Greens were fantastic, one of the best I played this year in the tristate area. Some fairways were in rough shape with all the rain we've been having, lawn mowers leaving deep tire ruts in certain parts of the course. Some bunkers were holding water, others were pretty hard.
This course needs work
Nice layout, but needs more maintenance work. Lots of crabgrass and some fairways have a lot of bare spots.
Needs maintenance is an understatement
Chisel Creek is in terrible condition. It's easily the most poorly maintained course in the area. Most of the fairways are dirt with patches of weeds. Below is a photo of my first shot, right in the middle of the fairway. Aim for the rough. Compared to the rest of the course, the greens were in fair condition but rock hard. It was a fun course, but I won't be back unless the conditions improve.
Love the design but fairways need attention
I played this for first time yesterday evening on a lovely cool August evening after work. I have wanted to try the course for the past month, but not had a chance. I played the back 9 2X as their was an evening league going off when I arrived. The design and routing are very interesting and challenging, requiring good accurate tee shots on 12, 13, 15, 17 and 18. I LOVED the par 3's especially 14 with a rock wall fronting the green. The greens are in good condition with significant slope in them. The fairways require reseeding-I played with a member who told me course was in great shape before the torrential rains and 3 week heat spell we had in July. Tough to play the ball down so more like lift and place to get the full aspect of the course. There are some soggy areas also but we've had a lot of rain in SE PA this summer. The greens fees are very reasonable and the course is fun to walk provided you are in fair to good condition. I will go back
Good course to play
A good course to play for the money. The layout is nice. There are some challenging holes. For the most part the course is maintained well. Some areas require attention but that's normal considering all the rain we've had this summer. The greens are kept well. The putts roll true. Would play again.
Nice Greens but fairways are in bad shape
With the exception of a few holes(number 7 and 18) I really like the layout. I like the views and scenery. Only one hole(#2) has houses in view.
The greens and surrounding rough are in very good condition however the fairways are really bad. (August 2013)
