Pace
Course was very good, pace was excellent. Played 18 holes in 3 and a half hours
Nice Variety
Excellent price; not crowded on a Monday.
I like the fact that most of the holes need some planning to be successful. Some water, some sand, some length, some trees, some doglegs....everyrthing you can and should expect.
A bit out of the way, but worth the extra mile or 2.
Golf etiquette
Course was nice and in good shape. There were two foursomes in front of a 2 some, one guy playing by hisself, and me playing by myself. They wouldn't let us play through and I thought the starter should have let the groups with lesser players go off first which didn't happen. Had to wait on EVERY hole.
It's just ok.
Far out in the middle of no where. Just OK. Some challenging holes. Club house is realllyyyy outdated. Beer cart is a geo tracker lol
Inexpensive course - worth money
If you're looking for inexpensive golf and a decent layout, you could do a lot worse than this place.
Course was in decent condition, considering that heavy rains happened overnight...drainage could be better. Not a long course, but don't be wild off the tee, on too many holes here - plenty of water of trees to penalize wayward shots.
Pace of play - eh, not so great. 5 1/2 hours to play 18, and no rangers to enforce pace of play, at all.
I'll come back again why conditions are a little drier - and quite a bit earlier, so I can avoid the 40-handicappers playing from the tips!
this course was in great condition
Tee time 12:45 no one there got on the course 12:15. No one in front or behind us it was a great day. Course in good condition.
Over booked
Had an 11:40 tee time and left at 12:40 with four groups still in front of us on the first tee. They booked all the tee times and let people walk on also.
Decent
It's a decent course right now, still super early in the season. Conditions were pretty terrible, super wet and the sand is more or less just rocks and pebbles. Hopefully during the warmer months this course turns around
A hidden secret!
only 10 miles from Oakland Twp. Was a delight to play this course. First time and look forward to coming back after spring cleanup and the leaves come out. Lots of water, but very playable. Great Value and was told that the 55 and older senior rate during the week is only $26 with a cart.
slow pace of play
Very nice course , some holes are pretty challenging . I seem to find the water alot. The course is very nice with a really cool layout, no 2 holes seem the same but both times i played there the pace if play was not good . Maybe just got behind the wrong group of guys who aren't smart enough to let us play through .
Wet course, due the bad weather, but nice layout
I had to play golf, but the week before playing is was raining that much, the course was very wet, but greens were okay.
A real gem
We love this course. Wish we had known about it a long time ago. Very nicely kept. Plenty of sand, water and distance, but fun to play. Not too narrow. Greens aren't too tricky, but must be read properly. Some greens are tricky to reach because of the beaches. Looks like a Northern Michigan course.
Hidden Gem
Very Challenging, lot of water and doglegs.
Greens are tricky. I would like to play a few more times now that I know the layout a bit better!
I would highly recommend Richmond Forest!
Great course
Challenging course with some long holes.
Always a good time
Richmond Forest is one of my favorite courses to play. It has an old school clubhouse and an older staff, but they sure know how to take care of their course and sure are friendly. Always a big fan!
Richmond Forest review
Enjoyable and challenging course
