Richmond Forest Golf Club

Excellent course condition. Played the back nine in about 2 hrs.

Played a mid-morning round and was paired with 3 guys from Detroit and had a fantastic day at Richmond Forest. The front 9 is wide open with lots of water and the back 9 is more wooded -- both bring their own challenges. The course was in pretty good shape and the greens were very fast and rolled pretty well. I will definitely come back and play here again this year.

The course has a nice layout but needs some TLC. It was pretty wet from a recent rain so the traps were unplayable and quite a bit of bare spots around the traps. Not sure if they will keep working to fix these, but it could be pretty nice if they did.

Overall I enjoyed the course and will go back for another round of golf. I found the course to be fair for the average golfer, has a variety of holes to challenge the short and long game.

This course really flies under the radar, which is nice. Never packed, always in good shape, and you can always get on for a decent price. It is fairly long from the tips and while you can get into trouble on some holes the layout is consistent and fair.

for April course was pretty good - not that wet - got some roll - greens were OK. - You pay for the greens and they were worth the cost. double dog-leg on front 9 is very interesting

Course in good shape. We played 18 holes in just under 3.5 hours no wait on the tees. Driving range very nice. The clerk offered to honor our hot deal price to an additional golfer we took after paying in full on line.

Very good course for the price! It is pretty challenging with small greens and lots of water and bunkers.

This course is one of the best courses around,well maintained,greens are excellent .I hope my little summary doesn't cause the prices to go up.HA HA

Staff a super friendly, course is in great shape and would recommend to anyone. A friend used to play here a lot and I just played it recently...will be one of my local regular play courses from now on.

Course was very well maintained from the tee boxes to the greens. Grass wasn't dry like many surrounding courses. For the amount I paid I will for sure play again.

I've played Richmond Forest close to 100 times, and I have yet to get bored with it. It's a course that rewards smart play, and punishes the reckless golfer, but not so much that it's a nightmare for beginners. The course can be played effectively in a bunch of different ways, which I really like

It's the best maintained cheap public course I've ever played. The greens are stellar, the fairways plush, tee boxes always well manicured, and the range is set to fresh grass every day.

Played as a twosome in middle of a bunch of threesomes and foursomes so we waited but was expected when third player cancelled on us.

Course is fun layout, holes, 2, 3, 4 are really fun around the 3 big lakes. Can't spray it too much unless you know where to hit it. Very windy made for some hard holes and some easy holes.

Sand traps could have used some rock sifting, I found some big ones in the two I was in.

This is course is awesome for around $25-30 for 18 and a cart or less if you book with Golfnow or go during twilight. Beautiful course, well maintained and friendly staff.

Good value for the money not over crowded quiet country setting

I like features like restrooms on course and driving range with practice balls included.

I loved the course. It provides a great challenge. However, the biggest challenge was slow play. Rangers do not move play along, they pack the course and it is slow. Will try it again; during the week.

I am a very frequent player at Richmond, for the money you can't find a better value anywhere. Love it and will always play it. But slow play continues to be a problem. Actually this time, slow play wasn't all to blame, it was log jam on first tee. Several golfers showed up as singles for the same golf now tee times. Course needs to pair the singles up to maintain pace. Plus, we need to police ourselves out there! I asked the single ahead of me if he wanted to pair up. No. I asked the guy behind me to pair up. No. I was stuck. The only reason I finished in 4 hours was I played the front twice.

Fairways were extremely hard in some spots. Tee boxes in great shape.
