Beautiful scenery accompanies a round at Puerto Los Cabos. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 02/11/2014
Great Overall Experience
While costly, I feel you get a reasonable value for an excellent round of golf. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Free food and beverages are available at 4 stops during your round. There was no one in front of us, so our twosome was able to finish our mid-morning round in under 4 hours. We played the Mission and Ocean nines. While they had a somewhat different feel, they seemed to both play tougher than they looked. In particular, when standing at the tee boxes on the Mission course, my eye wasn’t quite sure of where it was best to aim. Best to look carefully at the in-cart GPS before deciding. We will definitely return the next time we visit Cabo.
One of the best
A must if you come to Cabo. Stunning views, great conditions. A jewel of Cabo!
Great staff, great tacos, starter was awesome
It is really hot at midday in Cabo in September. I booked a heavily discounted Hot Rate for around noon, but got there a couple hours early. The starter didn’t know I had a hot rate, but said he could get me out because they had space. Went out as a single, but caught up and played holes 8-18 with two other singles. Pace of play was good. The course is interesting, lots of elevation changes. Ring your cheater range finder with slope. I got lucky eight the guys I paired up with. Similar skill sets, and it made for an enjoyable round.
Maybe the best part we’re Las the cold wet towel that was issued when the round was over. It was really hot, and that towel was great. I’d like to come back again at a cooler time of year.
We were also joined by a friendly iguana who was looking for hand outs. He kept his space, but added to the overall vibe of the day.
Must play!
This was my first 'vacation golf' round a d it was simply awesome! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The course was in pristine condition! Included in the round was all you can eat and drink at the 4 comfort stations!! My wife rode along for a $45 rider fee. It was totally worth it because the all-inclusive eat and drink applied to her as well. 5+ stars!!
JW bachelor course
Mission course (9) is a great track with some really picturesque holes. Ocean and Vista have their moments, but Ocean in particular wraps around the JW Marriott, so you’ll find yourself with a gallery on a few holes. The par 3 on the water is kind of gimmicky (IMO).
Pace of play was slow (4:40). Conditions were above average, but nothing to write home about. For the money, I’d recommend Cabo Del Sol or Quivira (if you can manage to get on).
As another mentioned, there’s a $45 rider fee, which I also thought was kind of a shakedown not knowing this in advance. If my wife was a drinker, maybe she could have got her money’s worth.
Shrimp is definitely the go-to at the bar huts. Chicken and steak were meh.
Beautiful but pricey!
36 holes of beautiful golf! Ocean views predominate and are gorgeous! Course conditions are excellent with tricky breaking greens. Lots of Long up and down walks to greens.
Mandatory charge for refreshment stations have not changed but variety of foods/snacks have been significantly reduced.
Great golf experience! Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman courses on the same site!!
Top quality golf and neighborhood at a premium...I try to appreciate my blessings
Now the East Cape is becoming the land of the Uber rich...Mexico has the biggest gap between local life and developments like Puerto Los Cabo....
When you visit remember to tip the help generously. Even visit the church in San Jose del Cabo and add to their mission...
It's hard to think how far $1,000 usd goes locally compared to $200 dinners for two at any resort community...
Awesome golf experience!
There's nothing bad that I can say about this golf experience. The course offers amazing views and is perfectly kept. There are 4 all-inclusive bar and food stops on the course that offer delicious food and cocktails (or ice cold beer). This course is incredibly accommodating and if you can get a "Hot Deal" through Golf Now for this course it's a real steal!
Great Golf
Los Puerto de Cabo is a must play course Beautiful vistas, sea of Cortez, mountains. Course is in perfect shape and this was November. It’s a bit pricey but use Golf Now and you may get lucky.
Terrific Course
The Cabo area is blessed to have several beautiful courses. Puerto Los Cabo’s is a beautiful layout overlooking the Sea of Cortez to the east and mountains to the west. The views are spectacular.
The course is in perfect condition (fairways, greens, bunkers).
The course has comfort stations, which are terrific!!!!! The tacos, chips, margaritas, are wonderful, all for the price of a tip.
A bonus is that it is not on the Pacific side where it is usually more windy. Also, there is great practice area so you can practice every club ion your bag.
I’ve played courses all over the U. S., Mexico and Europe and this course is high on my list of courses you don’t want to miss.
Great Course
Just played Puerto Los Cabos (11/12/22). I was a single and was paired with another gentleman from San Francisco. If you're in Cabo, you MUST play this course (particularly if you can score a hot deal). It was in perfect shape--greens, fairways, traps could not have been any better (even though it was November). The views of the Sea of Cortez and mountains were spectacular. Unbelievable. There are also some incredible houses overlooking the course (maybe too many for some). And, the comfort stations complete with tacos, margaritas, chips and more were fabulous. There is a tee box for every level. Pace of play was fine. To get there be sure you add some time because the traffic in San Jose can be heavy. Nearby Flora Farms is a must see attraction. I It is on my must play list for Cabo courses (along with Cabo Real).
Mission + ocean
Everything about the experience is top notch. The new names of the three nine hole courses ate OK, but the new arrangement of holes comprising the Mission and Ocean is not as desirable as the previous routing.
PLC San Jose del Cabo
Golf pass lied!
You showed an 11:30 tee time Dec 1 for 4 at PLC Cabo San Lucas.$100 each. I booked it! You then charged me ~$100 for your fee and then said the tee time was not available but still charged ~$100
This is not acceptable!
You will be hearing from me soon!
Great Layout and Views
The course was in excellent condition but is not easy. Some very challenging holes, not for a beginner! Staff was very helpful and friendly! We once missed a Comfort Station and one of the on course hosts went there and picked up and delivered to us food. and beverages!
