Avoid like the plague.

If I could give this club a negative 5 stars, I would.

A "Golf Club", full of eccentrics. 9 Holes, no Pro shop.
Greens are a disgrace. No drainage. Fairways covered in Sheep and all associated by products.

I joined for 18 months and was promised x, y, and z. In particular, €50 worth of bar credit was included. They reneged on this.
Course is closed over 50% of the time. Over the last four years that's probably closer to 90%. Avoid like the plague and join Athy, the Royal Curragh or any other club that actually knows how to manage 18 holes, when they can't even manage 9 holes.
Tee boxes are non existent too. Women are second class citizens out there and if you happen to be a woman and a pensioner, forget about it.

There are a select few male players who are honest and genuine golfers. A small group of women who have been there donkey's years are quality golfers also. The majority of male players have handicaps between 35-45. Embarrassing. I didn't think Golf Ireland even allowed male handicaps to go this high. "Bandits" does not begin to describe the level of cheating on full display in every competition.

A female pairing won the Countess of Granard recently and their picture has been taken off the wall for some unexplainable reason.
You'd swear the club had a treasure trove of All-Ireland's in a box in the attic. Which I can guarantee they don't based on the cheating and general shocking standard of play. Vindictive doesn't begin to describe the carry on behind the scenes.

The Chairperson and President have a lot to answer for.

They look to have a handful of Junior members who have thankfully, the potential to win Majors. The only saving grace really.
