Nice open course with interesting layout and holes
Great looking course with high quality fairways and greens, some issues with drainage but due to the heavy rain that’s to be expected. Interesting layout for some holes, which I have never seen before and enjoyed, however it was slightly confusing as a first time player to figure out which tee boxes were which for some holes.
I’ll be back
The course isn’t as bad as what I was led to believe by reading previous reviews. Sure, there are some spots around the course that you wouldn’t want to land but overall I was happy - especially for the price!
Impressed!
First time playing this course and I can say it was a great experience. From reading through some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant, but the course must have had improvements because it was in great condition. Course is forgiving with some challenges. Great price for a round. Will be back
Priced very well, and a lovely course on a nice day.
The reviews are harsh on this course.
Pros:
There is some beautiful scenery
Plenty of long and challenging holes
Forgiving - you won't lose many balls up here
Easy Access - Always lots of tee times
Value for money - it's a bargain for the Hot Deal Prices
Cons:
Very few Yardage Markers
Greens and Bunkers are average at best
Very exposed (Wind can be a major factor)
Very Soggy Fairways on some holes in Winter
No practice green or range
Conclusion:
All in all it's a great place to get a tee time and a cheap round in.
Also excellent for beginners, or for anyone to have a casual round or even throw a few balls down for practice.
I'll be going back even though I have membership elsewhere.
Nice round.....
Nice course, I found myself in the ever surrounding rough quite a bit, will play again here soon....
Nice Course
Nice course, Green flags sometimes out of view but this would only cause an issue on your first round.
Like many have eluded to, distance markers would be a great help throughout the course, distance purely by eye can be very misleading.
Will definitely play here again, priceing seems slightly above what it should be. A little extra TLC and it would be a really nice course, new sand in bunkers, greens could be distinguished a little more, just finer details on the upkeep.
Overall looking forward to my next round here.....
Brilliant views of the surrounding country side course needs more work especially the greens but overall great value we will be back
Join Apps
This is a great little course for the money you pay. Carrying amount of challenging Undulating and flat fairways with hard (to be upgraded) greens. Management could seek to join Golf Shot, or other GPS golf apps to allow golfers to see their yardages. Out of everything, yardage marking is the poorest, and without a range finder you're a bit clueless on distace. Otherwise great course and great staff. Putting greens, or even driving range would be a killer around here as well
Good Value for Money
Some lovely holes, all they need to do is put up some proper signage directing you to the next hole. They have some adequate signage, but there were at least three occasions where Bear Grylls orientation skills had to be called upon.
Also, the index 1 hole is a very, very long par 4. Given the overall course is 71, why not make it a par 5? (That's probably me being a bit gormless about the game, though!)
Decent Course
Some very nice holes on this course. A lot of GUR areas when we played but overall a decent course for what we paid. Greens need a bit of work, fairways that hadn't GUR areas were in good order!
Excellent course. Improved massively. Will look to join in the future for sure
Only 16 holes open and to many holes cut down to par 3s. Said on the app that shorted course was month of May but wasn't fully open in middle of June. Greens need serious work
