Was disappointed n the condition of much of the course. 10 holes open and some temporary greens which wasn’t advertised on GolfNow, probably not the courses fault

Cancelled

Hi I was meant to play this course on Sunday 29th but due to rain it had been cancelled by the course. Fully understandable but I have tried to contact GOLFNOW to see if I can get a refund or preferably rebooking to cover the round I have missed due to weather. The problem I have is I can’t see any link to help me out on this matter. I would appreciate if GolfNow could get in touch to resolve this matter.

Course layout is lovely….. Some interesting holes. Very, very short course. Greens are awful. Really let’s the course down. Only £12 tho so hard to really complain. Just a shame about the greens

Great course

Great wee course, played a lot recently, booked through GN app and never a problem. One thing I will add,, met a few guys on course playing in front of us leaving there bags on our fairways when we’re playing that hole And them boys onto the next. Don’t make sense I no.. Young lads these days just don’t seem to want the work of carrying a bag all the way round when they think it’s easier as coming back on themselves. Awk well nothing to do wit this great course I suppose. Great spot👍

You get what you pay for

This my fourth time playing Aberdelghy, its just one of those courses that always seems to be busy no matter when you're playing it - owing partly to layout.

its been very wet recently and some of the greens were very heavy, pins are always in awkward places here (especially 16th) but Ive come to expect that.

You'll do well to get a course in better nick for £12 (dawn/twilight rate) but I wouldnt pay more than £15 for a course in this condition.

Owing to its price , difficulty and closeness to Belfast, it gets a lot of use- as a result its patchy in places- worse thing has to be the amount of divots left on fairways.

Never seen a course where those playing care less about it- the greenkeepers are council workers and do their best to keep it neat but with wet weather and players who dont seem to care, you're fighting an uphill battle.

There's also at least 3 tee boxes with permanent matts, again owing to how often this course gets played/ drainage.

My ball mustve rolled into a divot 4 times during the round, not the clubs fault but something to bear in mind.

If you havent played Aberdelghy and fancy a course that you have to think your way around (without Driver) , definitely give it a go.

If you're looking for fast fairways and greens, you'll be disappointed but for the money that's to be expected.

Never know who you’re going to find on the next tee

Fair enough council course good greens .When you you out mid course people jump in from the bushes and play in front of you Saw one bag between 3 lads Needing to be marshalled Paid £12 to be eaten by flies and play behind ask holes who paid nothing

1st Time Playing Aberdelghy

1st time playing Aberdelghy and I must say we had a great experience, friendly staff and made to feel welcome.
Given the recent rainfall we were impressed by the condition of the course, albeit the first 3 holes were a bit wet under foot, but after this the course was in great condition.
Great course for all levels of experience, some testing holes indeed. I imagine in the summer months when all the leaves are on the trees it looks great.
Will definitely be booking again.

Awful Golf course

Absolutely despise this golf club, from here onwards. Went on Tuesday 22/2/23 for my first time playing on this specific course. Staff were abruptly rude and dismissive. Other members of the club were also unwelcoming, emphasising the nature of this club. The first hole had poor playing conditions with the ball almost every shot you hit, inevitably ending up in some sort of divot/pot hole. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
