Fun course with plenty of challenges
I had a great time at this course and it presented some interesting challenges. The only thing I would prefer is not to tee off on the mats on two of the holes...other than that...good times!
Original country course....
I always enjoy the unique country feel of this 1969 course! Family owned and neighborly welcoming . Only covered bridge course West of the Mississippi! Cow bell signals , and lofty platforms make this golfing experience unique! Surrounded by forest, trout creek running through, & the only access to "paradise Island", population 2! Need I mention The Hangar Restraurant across the street - home cooking - yummmm. A country experience for a city duffer! Definitely worth the drive!
Great country course
Third time playing here and am looking forward to more. The clubhouse staff are very friendly and helpful (I'm a newb) and the course is challenging without being extreme.
Fun course
Great course with a little bit of everything!!!!!!
This is my favorite little course! It is an absolute beautiful and peaceful setting and the staff is always very friendly!
I absolutely love this little course. It is a low key style of play. It is challenging, but beginners will still enjoy it. The setting is so beatiful... Crossing over a creek on multiple occasions.
fun little course
allot of short holes here. nice location and setting. You have to hit off of old funky mats on the 2 elevated tees that can be tough. overall nice place to play.
Lovely setting. Great course for a beginner.
As a beginning golfer, I like this course because it has a good combination of short and longer holes that require different skills. And it's making me have to get over my fear of hitting balls in the water! The bridges are a lovely touch and the course is in very good condition. Super-nice front desk person.
Fun casual course.
Friendly helpful staff, great value. Nice green setting with lots of trees. Not crowded. A few more yardage markers would be helpful.
I play there all the time, still hven't pared the course, just enough water and bunkersto make it interesting.
I play there all the time, close to home , great view, just enough elivation change to make it a great walk in the park.
Fun course friendly staff
We had an 8:30 T time on a beautiful Friday morning. The staff was friendly and we utilized a great deal through GolfNow.com which made this a super deal. The course was well maintained and it took us about 1 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. A gray experience overall.
Great time at Ranch Hills
Ranch Hills GC is in the best condition we have seen. It is still winter and a little damp still but that is to be expected. It had been a couple years since last time we played here and found nicely mowed fairways, well manicured bunkers and playable greens. Much nicer than our memories served from prior visits. Someone has been putting some care into the place, and we complimented a couple of the people we witnessed working We played 18 holes in just under 4 hrs and only that due to a slight delay of a couple of groups ahead and we were able to play through them and we ourselves dilly dallied a bit too. You would serve yourself well by choosing to play here.
Enjoyable round of golf...
Playing at Ranch Hills was a last minute decision I am glad I made. The course was well groomed considering the February weather. The owner was very kind and gave me a better 9 hole rate than was advertised on this website! This a great course for my first nine of the year. I will return.
The layout was fun. Some driveable par 4's.
I had a great time, the course has a covered bridge and great par 5 with a forced carry from the tee.
Course is in a lovely setting and extremely enjoyable ...
We will be back!!! This is a fantastic regulation 9 hole course - we played 18, which helped the second 9 as there are some very interesting twists and turns to this course. It is easy to walk and not too far from one of our favorite breweries - the Ram!
