Frog Hollow Golf Club
About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Gets better
The course is in fabulous shape and a huge kudos to the greenkeeper and his obviously talented crew.
I had a blast playing here and with the conditions of the course getting better. The never straight putts on these greens is a blast
Go and enjoy the course.
Excellent value
Course and greens in very nice shape. I was a bit of a ride for us to get to, but it was worth the effort. Will play again.
Very nice layout. Tees, fairways, and greens were in very good shape. The rough was a little high and weedy so it made it difficult to find the ball at times. Overall, very nice course and would definitely play again.
Nice course, but could use some repair

Great day for golf
Yesterday was a perfect day for golf
Pace was very good. We were paired w friendly people.
Fantastic, Fun Course
First, the gentlemen at the clubhouse gave me tips on how to play several holes since it was my first time playing. They were very friendly and even told me that I’d run into some groups and get slowed down. They were exactly right. Most groups let me play through until a couple of foursomes were holding everyone up.
The course is in immaculate shape except for several greens had ball marks on them. I think they were fresh and I assume the couple of foursomes were not fixing their ball marks so I can’t blame the course for that. Honestly, I think the foursomes were new golfers as I watched them play. Perhaps they didn’t know to repair their ball marks.
The course presents a good challenge and the fairways were difficult to hit as ball placement is a must. But recovering isn’t too hard. Just understand that it may be more difficult holding those greens out of the 2nd cut. Additionally, driver is not always needed with the tee shots. A wood, hybrid, or long iron could be better depending on the hole and you may be safer hitting fairways.
This may be my favorite course in the U.S. as the conditions were superb and the greens were very well-maintained. I just wish that golfers repaired ball marks. I’ll certainly play here the next time I’m within 100 miles of this course.
An under appreciated gem
There are better courses out there, but they cost a lot more. There are more immaculately manicured courses out there, but they cost a lot more when public and aren't typically open to the public anyway.
There are more interesting layouts out there, but not every course can be Pebble Beach. I'd sure like to play Pine Valley, which is not far from here, but that's not at all likely.
But if you want a great, enjoyable round and a well maintained and nicely laid out and reasonably prices PUBLIC course, it's hard to find a better deal than this course. All holes are fair and appropriately challenging. My overall favorite course in the area.
Great day of golf
My daughter and I just played frog hollow yesterday. It was great. I really like the layout of this course. The course is in great shape. I only saw one fairway that seemed to have some water damage in a small area. The greens are very nice, but challenging if you get on at the wrong spot. The two guys we played with were fantastic also. We could have used some more water out on the course as the jugs were there, but empty. The cart girl was around a lot though, which was helpful. Overall a great time and we will be back.
Actual course is great but I have the same complaint I have had before here. The staff is miserable and just plain rude. The pair of teenagers I was with got ripped by them when checking in over a misunderstanding of the rate. “Do you want to golf or not?!?!” Is what was told to these kids. It was the golf shop bald guy and the pro giving them a hard time.
Great value!
The Golf Now hot deals make it the best value out there. I like to play different courses but my buddy and I keep finding ourselves at Frog Hollow more often than not!

Course pretty difficult for me, I usually shoot a 35-45 on the front at Garrison, shot a 51 at frog hollow.
