Course was in great shape. Bunkers need some work but everything else was great. Will definitely play it again.

1st time playing this course, staff was very friendly, course was in great shape. Only complaint would be pace of play, Took 3 hours just to play 11 holes, we had to leave after that because we didn’t have another 2.5 hours to play the last 7, unfortunately the course had no starters or marshals due to short staffing levels. We would definitely like to go back and play again though

This course offers a challenging layout. Lots of bunkers in play. Don’t have to be a long ball hitter to enjoy this course. Lots of options for all golfer when it come to the distance. Greens need some attention, but still playable. Because the are soft the can easily get beat up a little. Great staff and facilities. Worth the drive to enjoy the beautiful views this course has to offer.

We drive 1:20 minutes to this course because it’s the nicest place to play. A little slow because too many golfers don’t know how to keep pace with the group a head of them. Just because a group is slow doesn’t mean you should just goof around and play slow. Speed them up for the sake of all golfers.
We met up with a twosome and they were wonderful people with which to finish the round.

I absolutely love this course and facility. Today was my 4th trip to Scotch Hall, I’m in love with this place. It’s challenging but fun. Layout is great, conditions were very good, staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. There are coolers loaded with cold water at many hole locations so they take very good care of they’re patrons and it was very much needed and appreciated today . I will definitely return for another round here in the future. I can’t say enough about the condition of the course or the staff, I’m always impressed each time I visit. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

We played last Friday and course conditions were good considering they received about 5 inches of rain in the two days before. Grounds crew was working hard to maintain the course. It was a great day for golf and we were moving along at a good pace until we reached the back nine. When we reached the 12th hole things took a turn for the worse when we caught a group of well hydrated golfers having more fun than they should have on a golf course. We knew something wasn't right when one of them, wearing no shoes took a couple swipes at a ball off the tee before finally making contact. On the next hole they allowed us to play through as we were just a twosome. After hitting our tee shots this foursome began heckling us with amazement that we were able to hit good shots. We shrugged them off understanding that they were just having a good time and continued on. As we approached our balls the beverage cart came by driving in the opposite direction. My buddy lined up his shot and hit. I began to line up my shot and the beverage cart came flying by again, this time in the other direction. This back and forth by the beverage cart continued through the next four holes as we played through three other extremely intoxicated groups of golfers who were apparently staying there together for a weekend of drinking with some golf sprinkled in. I am not sure which was more distracting, the obnoxious heckling we received from the groups of highly intoxicated golfers as we played through these final holes or the constant back and fourth by the beverage cart with a total disregard for us while we tried to finish our round. This has got to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had on a golf course. Not sure why the beverage cart driver decided to disregard all other customers on the course and instead just bounce between these four groups but I think its safe to say her only concern was keeping the booze flowing for this already over served group! Its a shame that a course of this caliber would sacrifice the enjoyment of all other players on the course to cater to a group like this. I will not be back anytime soon. The Sound Links at The Albemarle Plantation just down the road is a great alternative (better management and great customer service!) give them a try next time you think of playing here. This place used to be well managed but they seem to be struggling now.

This course is well worth the drive from the outer banks. Great practice facility, spectacular layout and course conditions. Will continue to make the hour and 20 minute drive to play this gem.

Course is in excellent condition! I believe they are having their member guest tournament this weekend and it was set up accordingly with pins tucked behind bunkers on some holes and set on the slopes which made it challenging to make birdies. All in all it was a great test of ability and a real treat to play. Compliments to the grounds crew who were all over the course working hard but also very considerate of the players by shutting down their machines when ever you came close to them. Great day of golf!

An experience so awesome Id love to keep it a good secret!

The golf course is awesome. Great design and layout. The bunkers are unusable however. They need to be replaced. Will definitely play here again, great value.

Unreal course with excellent playing conditions! If you’re looking for a beautiful and challenging course with great pace of play…this is the spot! Not to mention the incredible staff!!
