Prairie Falls Golf Club
About
Prairie Falls Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1999 and the second nine was added in 2000. Though each nine has a unique character, they combine seamlessly to create a fair test. It's an ideal course for high handicappers learning the game but it's not an easy course by any means. The front nine is a player friendly parkland layout with wide and forgiving fairways. You won't be penalized if you're slightly errant. You'll have the opportunity to build up your score on the front nine, putting you in a good position for facing the tougher back nine where there is less room for error. Prairie Falls Golf Club'a back has a links-style design with narrow fairways and tricky greens with subtle breaks. It's a challenging but fair course and if played smartly there are some birdie opportunities available.

Fun, Unique Layout
This place is somewhat unique for the area in that the front and back nines have very different feels, the front more of a links style with bowl shaped fairways to help keep your ball in play, and the back more in the trees and neighborhoods but still pretty wide open, and every hole is memorable for different reasons. Great views throughout the course, right from the first tee!
Downside was conditions and slow pace of play, as tee boxes were often not level, sand was pretty old and inconsistent, carts were not smooth with a nasty whiplash effect whenever accelerating from zero, rough was a bit thick, and the parking lot was too small (though they are in the early process of creating a new clubhouse with I assume expanded parking). However, greens and fairways were doing quite well for October.
Overall, a great course that could use a little love, but with the TeeOff deal, it's one of the best values in the area, and I wouldn't mind keeping it that way.
Great day of golf
The course was laid out wonderfully, with driving past nice homes, over train tracks, across the road all with great views. Pace was perfect. Loved the water features/hazards. I’d like to know why one of them was vibrant blue. Course was forgiving which meant I didn’t even lose one ball. Found it on GolfNow.com at a Hot Deal but even the regular prices with cart were great. When we come back to Idaho from Kamloops, BC, Canada, we will be sure to play here again.
Great course to learn how to play golf
This course is very well maintained and the greens are in great shape. It is a great course to go with friends or by yourself to get some swings in.
Excellent shape, greens perfect. Will play again soon. Very fair.
We loved Prairie Falls
Sign up was simple on Golf Now. The staff went out of her way to be helpful & friendly. The pace was perfect. We’ll be back…soon :)
Story of 2 nines
The front nine starts you off on a part three and is much more difficult than the back nine. The 2 nines should be switched. The front nine is obviously the newer of the two and is pretty much 90% uphill. The distance in overall yardage is deceiving. Be sure to check the length of the part threes and the fact that this is only a par 69 golf course. The 5700 yard tees play like 6200. Otherwise the course is in great condition the back nine is in awesome shape and though the greens are a little slow they are very consistent and the entire course is lush and healthy.
We will be back.
Great course
Great course, great conditions, friendly staff great walking course.
Great front nine
Played on a crisp fall day. Started on back nine due to frost. Very nice, traditional layout. Front nine a newer track, links style with challenging greens and very few houses. Entire course well maintained and a good value.
Post Falls Golf Course
Good golf course greens are in great shape and large and undulating. Front 9 is totally different than the back 9. This is the first time I have played golf there. Great value for your money. Will play it again.
Worth the cost.
Easy from the fairways, duh. Course condition was excellent.
