Great Day on a Great Course

I took some clients out and we played the Talons course, the more challenging of the two courses at Country Hills. The course is in great shape this year, I only wish I could say the same about my game.

This is a tough course; but, with multiple tee boxes, you can change it up based on how your game is going. There is water that comes into play on numerous occasions; however, if you play it smart (that's not typically "my" game) or if you're a better golfer than me (not a tough challenge), you can minimize the number of lost balls.

Another challenge on the Talons course is the sand. I am a horrible sand player and the fingers in many of the bunkers are worth staying away from unless you like the bigger numbers on your score card.

I love playing the Talons, but it doesn't necessarily love me back. If you get the opportunity to play Country Hills and you get the choice between courses, the Talons is likely the preferred choice for better golfers or those who just enjoy a great course but aren't easily rattled because of a tough hole. If you're challenged by tougher courses and get frustrated easily, the Ridge would be a "friendlier" course to play.
