Camrose Golf Club
Established in 1922, the Camrose golf course is an 18 hole, Par 71 municipal venue owned and operated by the city.
Overnight rains softened up the course and made for a cooler than average daytime high for the end of August. Overcast and threatening skies didn't stop myself or the three university students, (Tristan, Jeremy, Quinn) that joined me for an afternoon round of golf.
Distances vary from 5,057 yards from the forward tees to 6,149 yards from the tips. Four tee boxes on each hole will provide enough of a challenge for all levels of players. There are many risk, reward holes for big hitters but decisions will be tempered by the mature trees and the 3-4 inch deep rough that line the fairways. Water hazards and bunkers of which there are plenty will attract poorly played shots.
The greens are of a good size and have subtle swales and undulations that will require your attention to score well. The greens were rolling nicely and putts were staying on the lines that were chosen. My birdies on holes 8, 11 and 12 are proof that even average golfers can be rewarded.
There's a fully stocked pro shop and small practice area on site. In addition to good golf, the restaurant seemed popular for golfers and non golfers alike. A day at the Camrose Golf Course adds up to a can't miss experience for locals and travelers alike.

Worth the drive there
The course is in good condition. The tee boxes were good with minimal winter damage. The fairways were well maintained, lush, very little winter damage and only a few soggy spots. The greens were quite good with only a few greens still recovering from the winter damage. They were quick and well maintained. Well worth the drip down there.
A true gem.
Remarkable course. In great condition T boxes to greens.
Beautiful trees and fairways. Greens perfectly maintained and fast.
Well worth the drive from Edmonton.
Staff are friendly but Don't be late for your T time.
The club house and facilities are well maintained and the power carts typically used for bookings on Golf Now are electric and well cleaned and maintained.
But for the fact that I live in Edmonton I would consider Camrose as a home course.
The greens were the highlight. Fast, with subtle contours...my compliments to the grounds staff!
Great course
Love this course. Very challenging and well maintained
Camrose golf course
The course in in great shape. Greens and tees boxes are exellent shape. Fairways are a little bumpy when in a cart. Overall great course!
Staff very accomadating
Staff go out of their way to make sure you have a playing partner that you will enjoy
We normally play this course once or twice a year and always enjoy it. Greens and fairways this year seemed very dry, possibly due to weather, whereas, in past years the course is usually lush and green.
great players course
Course is in great shape for early season. Pace of play excellent. Layout is challenging yet not difficult. Great way to spend e few hours.
Camrose Golf - Great Course for all levels of play
The course is in excellent condition and a pleasure to play. I would recommend this as a must play to all levels of golf enthusiast.
Return game
Hadn't played Camrose in over 5years and was quite impressed
Excellent Pro Management
Golfed this course before - 18 holes.
Excellent course.
Weather hindered our golf experience so we were only able to play 9 holes.
Camrose
Excellent ladies course with most of the par 4's reachable by my wife. The course isn't overly long for the men but enough risk reward to keep driver in the bag on half of the par 4's.
Very pretty walk with enough elevation changes to keep it interesting with out being too odious to walk.
