About
Situated in the heart of Chestermere, Lakeside Golf Club is conveniently only 20 minutes east of downtown Calgary. The 18-hole layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. The golf course is gentle enough for high handicappers but it will still give more advanced golfers a chance to use their skills. Water has a prominent presence throughout the golf course, it comes into play on nearly every hole on the front nine. The back nine may have less water, but you'll have to contend with more strategically placed bunkers, like on the par-3 13th. This tough hole features not only a large lake on the right but also an array of bunkers circling the green. In addition to the course, With all of the hazards you'll be facing, it may not be a bad idea to use Lakeside's driving range and putting green to warm up.

slow play/ no cart girl
We only saw the marshal once and spoke to him about slow group in front however nothing happened. We had to wait every tee and most shots. It was a beautiful day 23 degrees and we started around 1130. However never was there a food or drink card. Not the first time either.
They don't want you to take food or drinks with you however they don't supply a cart so it makes it a long round with no food or drink. Clubhouse staff and starters very good.
Lakeside on Labour Day
I enjoy playing this course, but it is often too slow. Only saw a Marshall once early on. Group in front didn’t seem to comprehend ‘speed of play’ and chatted on the tee box at almost every hole. Very frustrating!!!
Great features
Lots of water and other hazards that make it challenging but fun. Every hole has its own unique features.
