About
Located in the small community of Wellington, Wellington National Golf Club (previously known as Binks Forest Golf Club) offers a tranquil forest setting that is more reminiscent of a North Carolina course than a Florida course. After opening in 1990 to much acclaim, the course unfortunately suffered from poor management and closed for a period of time but successfully reopened in 2007 with a newly renovated 18-hole golf course.
The layout is tight and thanks to the abundant trees, very narrow at some spots. Mature pines line the narrow fairways and the greens roll fast and true. The course thoughtfully incorporates the terrain, utilizing the natural elevation changes and water features. The bunkers were strategically placed to make you really strategize your club selection and target. One of the most appealing aspects of the course is that it can truly accommodate all different skill levels with yardages ranging from 5,268 to 7,253.

this course in getting in a better condition with the weather getting better too ; this is a good challenge and it's worth the drive , even if it's a little bit outside towards the west

Good Round
During my time at the property I was treated very well by the staff. They went out of their way to try and find a pairing for me but it was only foursomes around at the time so I went out alone. Was never held up during play which was great. The course conditions were a little less than I was hoping but I understand the course re opened only a couple years ago and they are taking the course work year by year. This course can play from beginner friendly to challenging based on the tees played. Definitely plan on returning for more rounds here in the near future.

Nice track
Winter conditions throughout the course so not perfect. Could use work on fairways with seed and water. Worth the money and would go back. Early spring must be amazing. Some long holes with water and traps all over. Decent challenge and some fun holes.

The Binks
Looking at a home to buy in the Binks development I decided to play the course that surrounds the community. I paid $30 for the round so my expectation was low. It is winter but it it is also Southern FL so I am not sure what my expectation should be. I barely remember a hole since they seem so similiar. I birdied the first hole but I could not tell you anything about the hole. The tee boxes were well worn. The fairways had a million divots and the grass had a combo of grass and weeds. The bunkers which they have a ton were in good shape. They were edged and the sand was fluffy even after a strong storm came through the night before. The greens were good for the most part but some had disease and others were in the process of being fixed. Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours. The course is not well marked from red stakes or white stakes to yardage markers. The only consistent marker is the 150 stake.. The best thing was the $2.00 wrap sandwich at the turn.

Poor fairways!!
We have played this course a number of times, friendly staff and a fun course - different from Florida park courses! - the greens fast and good but the fairways in a really poor state! Today not worth the money!

Long dau
Course was good. The pace of play was poor. They have no Rangers to monitor play. If you get behind a slow group then you are stuck. We had 3 groups waiting on most tees because of a slow party. Not a good round when you wait 10 to 15 min on each hole. They need to address this

Needs some TLC, but FUN!
Ok, I was skeptic coming to the course based on previous reviews. I paid 20 dollars, so I thought I would give it a shot. The clubhouse is nice and first impression is nice. The course layout is awesome and enjoyable. The greens are the best part in my opinion and were running fast! The fairways and sand traps on the other hand need some TLC. I couldnt tell if the sand traps were cart paths or sand sometimes. The traps need to be turned and fully raked. I can tell they are making an effort and I did see the grounds crew out there. Hopefully they invest in some water and weed killer. I loved the layout and I would come back just for that!

Cow pasture
Hard to find any grass in the fairways. Mostly dirt and weeds. Sand like blacktop. Greens very, very fast.
We are sorry you didn't enjoy the round. However, we feel the conditions of the course are better than indicated in this review.
COULD BE GOOD; BUT NEEDS TLC
You will find the Tee boxes and fairways are in poor conditions ... playable ... but unfortunately not very good. This is a shame because the lay-out is interesting. The greens are decent though. The clubhouse is spectacular.

Has potential to be a very nice course but greens and fairways are in need of a lot of tlc. Length and layout offer a good challenge though.
Binks Forest
We expected much more from this course. With a first class club house the course itself was a disappointment. The fairways are far from well maintained and we found much better in the area. The layout is good but some greens and most fairways have more weeds than grass..
Challenging.
Im not the best golfer by far, but this is one I will need to practice more to be less frustrated. A lot of the holes are narrow...and its not easy to find balls that may stray left or right...very challenging, but I would play here again...

Great course layout.
Fairways were wide and the greens were in great shape. Sand traps were not raked. Good value. Course layout was interesting with water, sand traps, and woods. Will play again.
great place to play very challenged

HORRIBLE CONDITION
IT TOOK A TWO SOME ...3 HRS AND 15 MIN TO FINISH 11 HOLES WALKED OFF THE COURSE DISGUSTED WILL NEVER GO BACK

Write up does not match course condition
Drive through Wellington and clubhouse and staff were excellent. Eighteenth hole looked great appearance but all the other holes either lacked fairway or green maintenance. Reminds me of winter burn after a extreme snow conditions. Won't go back unless hear of about course upgrades.
