About
Located in the small community of Wellington, Wellington National Golf Club (previously known as Binks Forest Golf Club) offers a tranquil forest setting that is more reminiscent of a North Carolina course than a Florida course. After opening in 1990 to much acclaim, the course unfortunately suffered from poor management and closed for a period of time but successfully reopened in 2007 with a newly renovated 18-hole golf course.
The layout is tight and thanks to the abundant trees, very narrow at some spots. Mature pines line the narrow fairways and the greens roll fast and true. The course thoughtfully incorporates the terrain, utilizing the natural elevation changes and water features. The bunkers were strategically placed to make you really strategize your club selection and target. One of the most appealing aspects of the course is that it can truly accommodate all different skill levels with yardages ranging from 5,268 to 7,253.

good value for the money. Course is getting a makeover bit by bit and in due time it will be in great condition again.
Good value for a course that is in recovery mode. Staff are friendly and ifa single will do their best to get you paired up.
Course conditions.
Disappointing. We had played nearly four years ago and were excited to return yet felt conditions this year were worse than before. Substandard . We brought a guest and he was not impressed. Club house is lovely though.

Course has improved
The greens are in much better shape then the last time I played there. Also looks like they continue to make improvements on the course.
Layout and greens ok
Layout and length of the couse was ok. Tee areas and fairways in bad condition. Clubhouse and fasilities great.
Binks has improved
Visiting old friends who live nearby allowed us to golf in close proximity for the 3rd time at Binks Forrest. a couple of years ago the couse was a disaster...it has improved markedly but has a way to go to clear the weeds off the greens and fairways...good work by the new greenskeeper..looking forward to pl,aying it again and seeing the continued improvement.
I really like the layout
The fairways and tee boxes aren't great but it never really impacts the play. It's a challenging course if that's what you're looking for and the greens are rolling nicely.
very poor conditions
I can't think of enough bad things to say about this course......I've played it multiple times over the years and this is the worst conditions I've ever seen. Weeds cover the entire grounds and even permeate the greens. Blown branches litter the course. There seemed to be little any grounds crew has done except maintain the bunkers into decent shape at best. Understand course is up for sale (not really sure) and may be why no money is going into course maintenance....golfers cutting in and skipping holes (3x); kids playing kick ball in the middle of the 18th fairway; no course ranger or supervision.......will never come back!

challenging course from the black
i like this course very much, because it challenges our skills...the 7-8-9 are very tough...the fairway's conditions are so-so, but the greens are ok, good speed....the conditions are better than last year and it's a course which gives you the opportunity to measure the status of your game....
Wide Open Spaces
Although the weather was uncooperative for most of the day, after the first 30minutes shower, the skies cleared and conditions improved. Although the rain settled, the greens remained fast and slick due the wet conditions, yet the fairways provided excellent approach angles off the tee. Considering the wet conditions, my tee time was 3:08pm, and I completed 18 holes in 2.5 hours, basically having the course to myself.
Bad experiences
I booked online through Golfnow. I have had a bad experience with the staff. The cost included "free food ie hot dog" but when I asked the restaurant staff about it. He was really rough and said that it was not included. It was not my fault that the deal said that it was included. Not that I really care about it but the staff could handle it better. Bad Impression after played a course that full of wet sand on the green.
bink's forest is coming back
great clubhouse facilities,very friendly staff,only a couple of greens that were srachty.I pared the # 1&2 hardest holes out there,but just barely.Lucky putts.My goal was to break 88,and that,s what I shot. Can't wait to get back.
Course condition
Condition is getting better. Price needs to be reasonable until condition gets better. Always have a good time here. Polite and no hassles.

Staff is great. Trying hard with a course that need a lot of TLC.
Overall, not bad for $20. Will likely play elsewhere next time

The binks is back and better then it's been for a very long time, the layout was always good but now it's in really great shape, give it a test you will love it

Course is in much better shape then the last time I played it, love the track just needs much more work to be a great course
mosquito a very real hazard at this course
greens were in good condition however, fairways were over grown and your ball could absolutely be lost in the fairway.
