Twin Willows Golf Club
About
Twin Willows Golf Club gets its name from the two original trees that have been with the club since its beginning as a nine-hole course in 1964. The classic original layout was later joined by a more open, Scottish-links style layout. Overall the course is player friendly enough for beginners, but more advanced players will still get a challenge from the back tees, especially on the back nine. The 12th is a tough par 3 that plays entirely over water and the 14th is another notable hole. It's the longest par 4 on the golf course and it can feel even longer since it often plays into the prevailing wind. There are 45 bunkers strategically placed throughout and there are also eight water hazards that come into play. The distinct front and back nines give you the feeling of playing two golf courses in one and there is also plenty of variety among the holes.

Good condition
The course is in good shape.good value for your dollar if you get a deal from golf now. Excellent course to walk.
Nice course
The course was well maintained with the tee boxes in excellent condition.
Great conditions!
Great round, fast and cheap!
Twin willows
Great course that's right in the city. Not too challenging but hard enough to keep it interesting. Greens for the most part are in pretty good shape.
Great course for all levels
A nice forgiving course for mid-high handicappers (like me) and low score potential for the better golfer. Makes a person think about club selection on some holes and had a good amount of challenging shots. Not a fancy club house and doesn't have a driving range, but the course was in great shape and a lot of fun to play.
Excellent course
Twin Willows is an excellent little course that challenges your driver and long irons with many dog legs for the course management type player. Possibility of shooting low scores. I shot 73 and counted everything.
Staff is very accommodating as well and and very pretty ladies too.
Great place to have a beer after too.
Cheers and good luck
Fun course, not overly challenging
I enjoy twin willows. It' has a good layout, lots of dog legs. You have to choose your clubs wisely on this course or you will end up in the bushes. Look on golf now for specials.
Friendly Fareways
Twin Willows is a great starter - intermediate course. Friendly staff and fairways are pretty forgiving.
I always meet social golfers who are willing to give tips on how to improve.
Pace of Play
Once again 'Golfnow' has extremely overbooked a tee time (6 groups for the same tee time on this occassion). The pace of play was painfully slow. This is unacceptable.
Great value
First time playing. Last minute. Weather was terrible but course was excellent for September. Will definitely play again.
great golf course
the course was in great shape especially at the end of the golfing season. Too bad the weather was lousy
This course is a gem being polished each ensuing year
I have had the great pleasure of playing at this course for 3 golf seasons now.
Enormous improvements being made to the "track" each year. New impressive and informative monuments on each of the holes, reflecting clearly that this is, after all, a military course.
The course has lovely scenic holes, some which are wide open and rather dull, unless you can appreciate open sky (which I do). There is the occasional fly by of military aircraft, particularly helicopters, which provide an added element to the golf experience from time to time.
Although the wide open holes seem innnocuous, they can be challenging on windy days.
The scenic holes are also a comfortable walk through the woods and bring peace to one's mind, particulary if you get the occasional glimpse of a resident deer and not infrequently water fowl.
Staff members without exception are catering and helpful at every turn.
ripping up the willows
great place to go and have afun round where you get a good chance to score well
My feel good course
Always enjoy playing the willows! Rare to have a bad round there. Fairways are watered well. Greens are easy to read but not without there challenges. Very walkable course.
Golf Gem
This is a well maintained and fun course found right in north Edmonton. It was a pleasure to golf and laid out so that it can easily be walked.
Started golfing here
The cost to the round used to include the power cart
the value is no there.
Tee Time Not Booked
Twin Willows is a nice course with extremely nice people running the facility. However, when we got to the golf course on Friday, we found our tee time was not booked by GolfNow and our tee time was taken by another foursome. Rose allowed us to start shortly after we arrived so it still worked out just fine. However, you might want to investigate why the tee time was not booked as some other golf clubs might not have been so accommodating.
Welcome Back
I have not played Twin Willow for a least 15 years the difference is amazing Rose and her staff are extremely polite as ususal.
Lousy staff for an okay course
As per my title, staff here has always been horrible. From either the elder man or woman who are working. They are short with you, to the point, they care about nothing but taking your money and getting you out the door. The elder lady was rude and had the personality of a wet paper bag. No friendliness what so ever. When the cart girl finally got to us on the back 9 on the 17th hole, I tried paying by visa...she briskly said she doesn't carry a machine...okay can you take my card keep it with you and charge me at the proshop? To which she answered me with a straight "no" without even looking at me.
It's unfortunate this place has such lousy service and personalities, it's almost like they feel that your business is nothing to them...people walking in are guaranteed.
On another quick note, this place charges too much for too little, pace of play is very slow because there are no marshals or starter, and the conditions are just "okay" nothing more nothing less.
I can't recommend this course to any of my friends or clients for the fact of embarrassment due to the service there.
Rant done.
Good value
Course was in ok condition. Greens could be better.
