Great course in a nice location

The Windermere course has recently received some upgrades to the clubhouse and the grounds and the result is very impressive. The course is currently in excellent condition and is very enjoyable to play with pace, staff and members very accommodating. There are certainly a few hills to conquer and as a result there are a couple of blind shots that will be encountered. For that reason, I personally am not a fan of every hole but generally the course lay out is ok.
Excellent practice facilities and a nice club house with decent food as you might expect at a private course. Definitely in the top 5 in Edmonton.

Edmonton's Best Layout

Always a pleasure to play this lovely course which is nestled in the North Saskatchewan valley southwest of Edmonton. It features nines with very different characters, the front with elevation changes demanding accuracy and the back demanding length off the tee.

The holes are varied and challenging and the setting is beautiful with river views and the peacefulness of the country. The greens are not overly difficult so your score will be mostly about your ball striking. Conditioning is what you would expect at a private club though the day I was there the greens were a little slower than the current norm (though I actually like that).

The new clubhouse is very impressive and the food and service were excellent.
