Quail Hollow Golf Course

The course was devoid of snowbirds-THANK GOD- and the pace of play and course was fine. Some, but not all of the greens required some attention,but they are working on it. We had fun. if snow birds were there, it would have been lousy, but without them, thank God there is such a thing as the North to keep the pests away.

I've played this course several times and usually enjoy it. This time however, there was about 16 people waiting on hole one to tee off and we had to wait about five minutes at each hole to hit. We even offered to start on the back nine and they said no. The greens were in very rough shape and the fairways had weeds that were a foot high in some places. Normally a great course but very disappointed this time especially since it's peak season and their rates were double what they normally are when they're well maintained.

Contrary to current reviews I found the course to be in very good condition. There was some issues with the greens but I certainly did not find it to be a show stopper, fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. the course was challenging and great value for the dollar. We drove 50 minutes to get there and were not disappointed. Will definitely play there again..

I was a member here from 2000 to 2003. Very pleased with upgrades since last time I played here.
The greens were stressed but rolled surprisingly well considering we are in the hot season in Florida. There was one temporary green but they were working hard on the normal green. I suspect it will be put back in play soon.
I had a great round here and will definitely play again.

Met a wonderful partner and that saved the day. The greens have a terrible fungus problem and were between shut down and should be shut down. The remainder of the course was in in good condition. I just really want greens that are playable not missing grass over 40% of them. It distorts the game so badly it was just like being at a range that you change targets 18 times.

We played today 04/15/16 and after getting a hot deal and only paid $20 plus tax, I felt like they should have paid me to play. It seems they don't pair twosomes up so play was slow as twosomes were all over the place! The Greens have some sort of fungus or something which made them almost unplayable. The only hole that seemed nice and in good shape was #18. The bunkers had not been taken care of for a while so footprints were everywhere. Unfortunately, that's where the ball would land!! The facility outside where people could sit is an embarrassment as there is trash everywhere. The on course bathrooms were filthy, urinals out if order and some sort of rust stain in all the toilets. Surely this course is making money that they could spend it and clean it up. It's a really nice layout but just in bad shape. We won't be playing here or recommending to anyone.

Course in poor shape and seems to be neglected. Maybe due to fact it may be closed soon, not sure.
Will not be back to visit.

Fairways are fairly decent, and defined. A couple tight holes. On every single hole the greens were in very bad shape. A lot of sand in a many of them. The angles an slopes were good though.

Overall the layout was pretty nice. Good mix of long and short holes, variety of doglegs allow for the shot maker to have fun. No real danger other than some tree dense lateral hazards, course is a bombers paradise, well to it was. The only down fall was the greens, which according to the staff wasnt much they could have done. Winter grass that was planted burned out because of the hotter than normal winter and the spring grass frozen because of the colder than normal spring. When the greens heal, this course will be nice one. Back 9 greens are in better shape than the front but run really slow, not sure about other golfers but id rather not feel like I'm crushing the ball while stroking a 6ft putt.

The good: It is a nice course. I've played it before and enjoyed it. The Bad: The greens this time were horrendous. Very very very slow and patchy. Found myself on various instances putting on straight sod. No grass. The Ugly: Went to the bar at the turn of the back nine to get a beer. I ended up telling the people behind the bar 3 times what I wanted. They were having issues among themselves and obviously that created even more confusion. If I noticed, it was over the top. They served three people that got there after me and after I had ordered. In the end, and after repeating my order 3 times, they still didn't get it right. It took more than 15 minutes to get 2 beers. This killed my momentum and hurt my game. I would only go back if assured that these issues were corrected. My previous experience at the bar was spectacular. This one killed it.

Perfect day to play golf -- beautiful weather. The greens were a bit over sanded which really slowed your putting down. The course has great layout and is balanced with water hazards / sand traps. The fairways were green and smooth. Played decent golf for a Tuesday!

Great layout, really open with decent miss areas for my occasional miss hits. Greens were a bit rough with green sand covering nearly all of them with enough bumps to require shock absorbers otherwise the ball rolled mostly true. Played here on a hot deal so it was worth the money spent. Fairly busy day and only got held up twice. I will play this course again.

I like this course. Only problem, lack of grass on the greens. They had a lot of greens with green painted sand on them. I have seen worse putting greens with sparse greens grass. The sand made them a bit slow.
Other than that I thought the course was in good shape.

No one there to give cart. Waited 5 min man said need pay slip walked 150 yards. No one inside to pay. Waited 5 min or so to pay fee. Paid fee walked back to get cart, no one there walked to see starter he said where are your clubs get them to get cart. Got clubs from car as I approached starter was walking away. I said don;t walk away, he said why are you yelling at me. I had it, went to club house advised poor overall service. Got money back. Will Never play here again.

This once was a very nice course alas no longer. In fact greens are not fit for purpose

Played here several times in the past month. If you go after 3 the price is right and there is almost no one there. Greens are in tough condition but fairways are nice. We started to play the back nine one day and they had removed all the flags , it was only 4:30. But for 18 bucks what do you want?

The greens were horrible. Also sand in the bunkers varies in type. Not very much live grass anywhere on the course. Very disappointing. I wouldn'the recommend playing here.

Crusied along pretty good until we made the turn than it came to stand still ,turned and back to the front side again and we didn't have to wait one second . greens had just been top dressed and were loaded with green dirt ?

The layout and the fairways were good. The greens had bare patches which had been sprayed with a green mixture that made putting almost impossible. In addition there is no range. They do have a hitting net but the carpeting you hit from had been torn up by divots. Very disappointing!

Good pace of play. Good conditions tee to green. The greens were in the worse condition I have seen in a long time. Was warned when I checked in that the greens were in bad shape and the overseed did not take. Good information to know before paying. All the greens were crunchy,bumpy Sandy. Impossible to putt. Usually don't mind if the greens are rough but these were noticeably worse than any in the area. They were still fast bc it was like putting on concrete with sand spread across it.
