Nursery Golf and Country Club
About
Situated north of Lacombe, Nursery Golf & Country Club is conveniently located just off of Hwy 2 between Edmonton and Calgary. It lies just east of the Canadian Rockies. The course appeals to players of all skill levels, from beginners to pros, thanks to a diverse range of holes. You'll have to contend with tricky doglegs and tree-lined fairways as well as several different water hazards, including a stream that cuts across the entire golf course. The layout crosses over the stream several times, connected by scenic wooden bridges. The tranquil setting of the golf course is ideal for a round of golf. Nursery Golf & Country Club finishes with a tough par 5. There is trouble nearly everywhere you turn on this hole with tall poplars lining the fairways and a sloped green. If you're even slightly right of the fairway you'll be punished with a blind second shot.

Greens
For early in the season, the greens were in great shape.
Nice and Quit course. Bad communication
Beautiful course, well maintained. We drove 2 hours to play this course. We were especially excited to try Canada's longest hole! However, after we made the long journey, arrived at the course to find the back 9 closed for the day. I understand they need to maintain the course to keep up the great conditions, but website made no mention of it, nor did the pro shop when we called to book the course. Nice front 9, but disappointed we paid and traveled so much to play it twice.
Little gem
Great conditions wish there was more food choices, but outside deck is very nice. Will definitely be back for a tew more rounds
Great day out on this nice course
Staff is very friendly, greens are in great shape, fairways are generous and challenging. I did find that there were a few places on the course that were swampy. It did however rain quite a bit the night before but the fairways are in great shape too.
They don't have a driving range but have practice nets, and no beverage cart on this course. For the price, you get a great game on a very nice course!
Has some great grass in this drought
It’s hard to find some good grassy fairways during this drought. It’s worth the drive. There’s a few fairways with minor areas under construction. However, for the price, this is forgivable.
Great day on the course.
Due to rain the night before no carts we’re allowed on the back nine. Rather then walk we did the front nine twice. Fairways were lush and greens true. Well worth the $29.99 we paid.
Staff don’t know what’s happening
Went to golf today. had a membership last year , brought my buddy with me today to golf. have went about 10-15 times this year and we get there and i’m 17 so payed for the junior rate and he’s 18 which is still classified as a junior on their website and they rang it up for an adult and we said he’s 18 so it’s junior rate if you check the website. They denied it and i showed the website for them and started to get smart with us since he’s “18” and can drink a beer then he’s an adult, when the website says 18 AND UNDER. every other golf course is 18 and under and they charge what their website says. just very disappointed and upset with the situation as they were getting smart and denying what their website is. if you’re golfing around lacombe and want an amazing course go to ponoka! don’t recommend nursery.
