About
With a name meaning 'quiet waters' in the Seminole language, Okeeheelee Golf Course is situated amidst lush, rolling hills that overlook the sparkling waters of Clear Lake. There are 27 championship holes that are divided into three nines and can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Osprey, Heron, and Eagle nines are named after the various wildlife that can be seen throughout. Each golf course offers a different set of challenges and scenery. Okeeheelee's Osprey/Heron Course features a variety of elevation changes. There are scenic views from the elevated greens but don't become too distracted since there are many elements to contend with including towering trees, strategically placed bunkers, and deep rough lining the fairways. There are also plenty of water hazards coming into play.

Secret gem
This course is beautiful to behold. Play is challenging and fun. A true well kept secret.
A nice course worth playing
This is a nice course which is worth playing. This course has more water than I have ever seen on any golf course. There's hardly any shot on this course which does not have the risk of going in the water. That includes putts which if struck too firmly could wind up in the water. However the course has a nice design, is well-maintained, and is worth playing. However, be forewarned, make sure you have more balls in your bag than you would expect to need, because you may very well need them.
We love the birds
A beautiful landscape and bird sanctuary to admire while playing a round of golf with well-maintained greens The staff is terrific. Two in our foursome love the hot dogs on the turn!!
Course I’m Great condition
I haven’t played here in about 2 years. I will be coming back more often. The staff could not have been friendly. There was a slight rain delay of about 20 minutes and a little rain during but pace was still good and the course is in great shape. There are only 2 nines open as I believe the Herron is closed. My buddy and I will definitely be coming back. I saw my first gator in Florida on the course today. He (she) was just resting near the lake. Didn’t even bother some ducks that were close by.

Excellent Course
Excellent course. Excellent driving range. Excellent Pro Shop. Excellent staff.
Eatery was only fair but that is probably because there are not enough customers to make it a worthwhile effort.
Played today
Today we played Eagle and Osprey. Challenging layouts, but the 9’s were in great condition. The starters were great. I recommend playing this course.
Good public course, not too difficult, very good greens.
The course we played (Eagle/Osprey) was wet because of all the rain we have had, but very playable. The greens were very smooth, average speed, and undulating. The Osprey had some very large greens. The fairways were in good condition, though there was some standing water in places. We played lift, clean and place, though I had surprisingly few mud balls, and rarely touched the ball in the fairways. This course is excellent an value, and always fun to play.
Aerated
Water on the course everywhere. Balls plugged at least once per hole. Awful. 9 out of 27 holes open. Extremely disappointing.
