This is a great course and nice layout. The fairways are amazing, the greens where not as fast as I thought they would be. I would play this course anytime!
Nice round of golf
Played the course on a Sunday morning in early October while down from GA visiting family in Palm Beach. The course conditions were fairly nice....decent fairways and greens. The course has a bunch of water but is still relatively wide open with plenty of room to play. It was very breezy (15+ mph) when we played and the ball was getting blown about a bit but I never felt like there was no room to play.
The course is in a housing development but the houses are set way back and the course feels wide open.
I enjoyed the round. The course was fine. Nothing really special about the course but there was enough variety on a few cool holes that kept it interesting. I’d play again.
First time I’ve seen PGA National on GolfNow so I jumped on it. Great course in great shape. Started with Ian the bag/cart guy who was amazingly friendly and helpful,... and the great day continued on the course. Challenging layout even though it’s very open. I’ll definitely be back!
Course was in great condition and layout was good but not very difficult (white tees).
A little far out from coast but beautiful scenery and wildlife (located next to the Everglades)
Staff was very friendly and pace of play on Father's day was under 4 hours. Would play course again!
Nothing like the other PGA National courses
Miles away from the resort, very slow and funny greens with impossible slopes, few amneties, not to the standard of the other PGA National courses - basic design but not expensive. We will not go back.
From the moment we pulled in to the bag drop to the time we left the parking lot nothing was short of first class. The entire staff was beyond courteous, we felt as though they went out of their way to make the day excellent, and they succeeded. The course proved fun, exciting, and quite challenging. If ever the opportunity arises we all plan to play here again. Great value for the money. Only wish we had started here rather than finished, would have avoided the other two courses we played in West Palm Beach.
Greens were ok but fairways were so dry and there was no rough, just dirt.
Was looking forward to playing, but won’t do it again this year.
Great course great layout will play anytime I can get on this course with golf now .
Not too be missed
Very pleased with the PGA Estates course. Staff and practice facilities were great balanced by a fair price. There was confusion about pricing and payment that needs to be addressed but overall very pleased and will book again.
Water and Sand
Great course. Challenging with water on every hole several the entire length the hole. The day we played the winds were very strong making staying in the fairway a challenge. Speed of play was surprisingly fast and completed it in just over 3 hours. Staff were great and course conditions were also good.
Nice to have one of the PGA resort courses on Golfnow. This is a busy course on Saturday, but I finished in four hours despite being a single between 4s.
Course continues to be in good shape and the practice facilities are good.
Played with senior members and had a great time
On a lark, I decided to come and see Tiger Woods to see if he would make the cut on Friday. Got lucky and got last minute room at PGA National Resort. Played with 2 brothers (88 & 92). All I can say is that when I get to be 90, I want to be able to play like the two gentlemen I met. It was a fun day and the course was easy to navigate.
Just a decent course with slow greens, decent layout. The staff not very friendly and the range was closing when we arrive. No cafetiria and to get sonething to eat is a struggle.
But golfwise even the greens were in great shape they were too long and way too slow.
Thank you for your time and comments. Yes during Honda the greens at the Estates weren't being rolled. I'm sure you will find them much tougher the next time you play. Again appreciate your sharing your observations. Hit'm straight!
OK but not the PGA
I thought that this was one of the on-site PGA courses. It’s located about 5 miles away in a gated housing community. Great practice facilities but minimal amenities otherwise. The greens were well kept but very slow. We played later in the day. Interesting wildlife. 3 gators of various sizes. The greens were well defended by bunkers. Shot placement was key and going for the green sometimes intimidating. Plenty of water with some decent carries from the white tees. Blue tees were considerably more challenging. GPS system barely working and was not helpful. Most times didn’t agree with sprinkler heads.
Thank you for your time and comments. The GPS is based on the flag stick position in real time. The sprinkler heads are only to the center of the green. Hope that addresses your comment. Thanks for playing our course.
First time playing this course in 5 years. It was a full course with members plus practice rounds for the Honda pre-qualifier rounds. We played 4.25 hours.
Course conditions were good, the layout included hidden water, but the gps is among the best and showed problem areas.
Caught this round on Golfnow—first time in years that the PGA resort courses were offered.
Recommend this if you want an interesting round in a fair length of time. Price keeps some away.
