Vulcan Golf and Country Club
About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Great Friendly Atmosphere
Country house potality at its best
Vulcan is an amazing course, one you should try. Only downside is pricing went up this year. Still worth a round.
Perfect Day
Vulcan GC is an out of the world golf course. It’s in great shape and the price is perfect. Just like the weather we had.
Excellent Value
The front nine of this course would be the original nine and is surrounded by huge trees but clear underneath to be able to find your ball. It was very beautiful. The greens were in excellent condition. The back nine is newer and the trees are still growing but has a great layout. The course winds through houses but gives enough room for my novice playing teen to play comfortably. Loved this course and will definitely go back.
Greens pretty slow
Fairways are in pretty good shape considering the time of the year. Greens are still pretty fuzzy and therefore quite slow. Prices have doubled from last year, cannot ascertain why, but that's now an issue.
Great Value
It was a good experience. The wind really blew on the back nine, predicable in this part of the world.
We'll be back
Incredible value for the money.
We just returned to Vulcan after a 2 year hiatus and we are glad we did. Not only are the staff friendly but everyone is. This an example of rural Alberta at its best. You owe it to your self to go play a round.
