Montgomery Glen Golf & Country Club is part of the Country Club Tour courses, a group of four Edmonton-area golf courses. A CCT membership lets you play on all four. Montgomery Glen has level, open fairways that give the course a seemingly mild look but don't be fooled, water, and trees were liberally incorporated into the design. The par-3 12th is the signature hole. With a creek that runs along the entire right side, both the tee and approach shots are over water. You'll need a long, straight shot to navigate the tree-lined chute that leads to the green. It's a tough hole but surprisingly not the golf course's most difficult. That title goes to the par-4 third, which features a large spruce tree in the center of the fairway and a water hazard on the right.

Great value for money

For CCT members, getting to play 18 holes of golf for less than $2 per hole is an excellent rate. In addition, the course is in great shape, including the greens which in my opinion are a little slow but run fairly true.

Worth The Drive & Will Be Back

My friends and I will drive out Montgomery Glen at least a couple of times each season. Considering the amount of rain we have had in the area, Montgomery Glen was in good condition overall. Senior members rate include golf cart and $5 food voucher. The pace of play was good. Missing seeing beverage cart staff though. It was nice to see there was a promotional event encouraging members to play on Tuesday in a rural area. Staff was friendly and the food is always great!. A nice day to enjoy lunch on the patio. Hats off to the creative chef for preparing a quality menu.

Disappointed

At the time we played the course was badly need of water as well as attention. The rental equipment needs maintenance and the indifferent pro shop staff need a lesson in customer service. With some badly needed rain this track should improve greatly and will be worth the drive.

Great day

The course is in great condition. They got 150 yard markers back in the fairways which is awesome! Brought a friend who has never played the course and is now hooked on it, hope to be back a few more times before the that darn snow flies.

We have golfed this course before and always enjoy it. Great outside patio.

Wonderful experience golfing Montgomery Glen. Fairly challenging. Would not want to walk 18 holes as there is quite a distance between holes and the fairways are long. Would like to have better markers on the fairways as we never really knew how far we were from the green.

I'll go back

A well maintained facility with friendly staff. It had a big storm the night before and was still in very good shape, only a couple holes that had water on the fairway. So good drainage nice greens and fairways

The course layout is enjoyable and a good mix of challenging and simple holes.

A good layout is what saves this experience. Greens are in good shape, rest of the course requires a lot of attention. But since the city took over, the budget for improvement has clearly gone down. We were first to tee off at 7:06am. We waited at the locked gate for a golf shop employee until 7am to let us in. Grounds crew asked us to slow down so they could cut greens. Very little attention to detail. Unless you find a time for less than 20 dollars, wouldn't recommend spending too much here.

Good course to play with some challenging holes. Even more challenging when playing in the wind, especially the "road hole".

Greens in excellent shape; some attention needed on the 6th fairway (especially close to the water on the left). Food and service in the restaurant were excellent. We liked the course, but realize the following complaint is not the course's fault, but we have played behind players who are playing from tee boxes which do not match their capabilities, causing undue delays in the game and resulting in 2-3 groups waiting to tee off.

The course has a good layout.

It is a injoyable course to play. There are difficult greens with a posabilty of very difficult pin placement . My wife and I had the first tee time and played the course in 2 1/2 hours.
