Ledgeview Golf and Country Club
About
Ledgeview Golf & Country Club sits on the scenic north side of Sumas Mountain. The course offers panoramic views of the valley to the west and the Coast Mountains to the north. Its hilly location provides plenty of elevation changes throughout the course. Golfers will be hard-pressed to find a flat lie anywhere on the layout. The golf course is covered with towering trees, which come into play often. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers throughout as well. Ledgeview's signature hole is the challenging eighth, which the club claims to be one of the best par 3s in all of BC. It is a tricky downhill hole that plays to a narrow green protected by sand. Trees border the entire length of the hole along the left side and a pond treacherously waits to the right.

Not a golfing day
Did not enjoy the round because it was raining so hard. Can't blame the weather nor the golf course. However it could have made a big difference if cancellation due to bad weather was in place. Still can't comprehend why GOLFNOW has suspended cancellation before teetime, I was advised that a lot of customers are reserving multiple teetimes on different golf courses and cancel last minute-lost revenue for GOLFNOW. I would like to suggest GOLFNOW to hire an IT professional to set up accounts that would prohibit from reserving multiple teetimes-which is doable. Last minute cancellation used to be one of key sell points after green fee. I hope GOLFNOW consider reinstating a modified cancellation policy soon-otherwise it does not make sense to book teetime.
The course has nice scenery.
I enjoyed playing this well maintained course. The pace of play was good.
Course is in fabulous shape.
This course is always in great shape. Greens are tricky. Would recommend playing.
Picture perfect
What a surprise ! Greens were fast and the fairways lush. Great experience .
Good golf at hot deal price
Have played this course at least a dozen times or so. Always well maintained and in good shape mid summer. Unfortunately played with two members...who although knowledgeable about breaks in the greens. Didn't know how to use a divot repair tool to save their lives. Can't teach etiquette I guess. Overall an enjoyable day...minus putts jumping all the way to the hole.
Great day
Great day on a nice course. The course was in nice shape. Sorry to see the clubhouse burnt!! I haven't played there in 3 years but will definitely be back soon.
Course conditions
Course in great shape fun to play
Nice course
Course has never been in better shape than it is right now. I've played it about 10x now. Gorgeous lush fairways, rough and greens that run fast and true.
Love Ledgeview
Ledgeview is challenging despite being a short course. Narrow, undulating, and well treed fairways make drives challenging. The greens are small with lots of contours. . Lots of up and down which adds to the difficulty. It is not surprising that Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor grew up playing on this course.
Unfortunately the clubhouse is shut down because it was destroyed by fire; the temporary facility is adequate. Very small driving range but they have two chipping/putting greens.
Beautiful shape
I have mixed feelings, because if I say too good ......I will have a tough time booking! Members are very good and want this course and your experience to be wonderful! A valley treasure for golfers!
Good Price( Golfnow) Bad Secondary Service
Went on GolfNow, saw this course had a deal on so decided to give this course a second try ( drier conditions)
It's a hilly course so I wanted to ride and not walk figuring the Saturday round would be slow, and it was no surprise there, but when I checked in and asked to rent a power cart I was told I didn't qualify for the 1 seat pricing option for the cart because I booked through GolfNow ... full price only -$42.00 Cdn ...What the Heck ! it's not even put in writing anywhere that this is the policy.
I guess as a customer I am not as valuable as a regular paying public customer ??? If Ledgeview GC really wants to get new people to come visit them using GolfNow and see what they have to offer I suggest they put this practice to bed ASAP. Unfortunately ( for them) I won't be one of their customers ever again, there are too many courses in the lower mainland to choose from to put up with that type of customer service.
Course Plays very well
Played very well. Played a week day no rush from behind. Very good value.
The course that grows champions!
Ledgeview was in excellent condition for January .
The course has a great variety of interesting hole layouts and the greens are challenging.
great challenging course
good round greens excellent very rewarding course.
Amazing course and great value
My wife and I played this afternoon, teed off at 1:15 pm, finished in 3:45, course was in amazing condition. The pro shop staff said they had punched the greens 3 weeks ago, they were perfect. Saw 4 deer, had a couple pars... what more could you ask for! We will be back for sure.
Ledgeview loses 4 players
Not returning - had 12.38 tee time and showed up jusy before noon, started to rain but we had pre-piad and wanted to play. Course and parking lot were empty. Checked in and asked if we could tee off earl. No, have to keep space for members. Checked in again at 12.20, still no other golfers around and told that our time was 12,38. Got called at 1230 for tee off.
Called next day and spoke with Operations Manager, did not care and informed that was the policy for Golfnow clients. You stick with your tee -time.
Will not return and have tweeted and sent texts to as many otherswe can find.
Average Layout and conditions
Ledgeview has medium size fairways and small sloping greens from back to front. The greens run around 10 on the stimp but of course down hill putts are faster. The greens were a bit bumpy didn't really run that true. The fairways have a lot of slope so you have to be able to hit short and mid irons off uphill and down hill lies. the land is clay so its not a good course for drainage. The fairways are getting a bit spotty in some areas with very little grass. Im in my 30's so I don't mind the walk. older folks might need a cart as there are a few up hill holes, the holes are all in sequence and close to one another I think its pretty easily walkable. a lot of elderly people say its a difficult walk and have to have a cart. This course also charges the full rate of 40$ even if your a single rider. Its really one of the only courses that doesn't offer a single rider rate of 20$ the facility is average the range is irons only of a distance of 150 or soo its hardly a range. The restaurant and club house is very plain looking its actually almost depressing. the course layout is sort of like a wanabee Les furber course with very little water to it. it has that sort of target oriented feel to it. pace of play wasn't great we had a couple 4 somes ahead of us my group was a 2 some it was a group of senior men who hit all hit the ball about 150 off the tee in carts ahead of us the round took 4 and a half hours to play. Overall Average its not very scenic either if your waiting on a tee box your really just waiting not much to look at.
Great track
I booked my round on Golfnow.com and the price cannot be beat. This is a terrific course. Always well maintained,as always the greens are in great shape and challenging. Considering we've been on water restrictions they have done a good job on the fairways. The course has some elevations but is walkable if you don't mind exercise. I recommend playing this course at least once to try it.
Great layout
Everything is great about this course I walked the course and my wife rode in a cart, the cart was very expensive $42.00 for one rider is a way to much.
Fantastic Hot Deal Rate
Excellent bang for the buck! Conditions only get a 3 as like most courses there are dry patches presumably due to the water restrictions right now. Cant comment on food and bev. as only had a dog at the turn. Played week before but not on the golfnow rate and was coming back even without the deal.
