Ledgeview Golf and Country Club
About
Ledgeview Golf & Country Club sits on the scenic north side of Sumas Mountain. The course offers panoramic views of the valley to the west and the Coast Mountains to the north. Its hilly location provides plenty of elevation changes throughout the course. Golfers will be hard-pressed to find a flat lie anywhere on the layout. The golf course is covered with towering trees, which come into play often. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers throughout as well. Ledgeview's signature hole is the challenging eighth, which the club claims to be one of the best par 3s in all of BC. It is a tricky downhill hole that plays to a narrow green protected by sand. Trees border the entire length of the hole along the left side and a pond treacherously waits to the right.

Sloppy in February
This is an excellent course during the dry periods in BC, but it can get very sloppy when conditions are wet. Although appearing now to be too long, the course plays uphill on many holes and if the ball is not placed properly your next shot will be very challenging.
Nevertheless it was good value on golfnow. Be warned this course can be a tough walk and especially so in soggy conditions.
Winter golf
I have never played here in the rainy season and frankly was expecting it to be soggy especially down at the bottom,
Maybe because we have had a couple of sunny days the course was actually in pretty good shape. Shots do pick up some mud but I only saw a couple of places where the ball would plug. Of course Ledgeview's greens are always in good shape. Bring a copy of your receipt with you as you will probably be asked to present written confirmation..
Good condition for time of year
Pleasantly surprised at the overall condition of the course. The greens were really good but we wish that fellow golfers would repair their pitch marks. Bunkers were not really playable, too wet after recent heavy rains.
Great course
The course is incredibly exciting. Every hole was welcomed with anticipation. It is challenging and the greens are fast. They are in great condition! The restaurant has great food and affordable too!
Totally recommend this course to everyone!
winter layout
This is a wonderful course but the winter layout is in place with shortened holes and a couple of temp greens, so I'm not sure that a meaningful review is possible. Nonetheless, it has been so dry this year that the course is still in relatively good shape.
Because of the undulating topography, which is part of the charm, several of the greens were frozen until late in the afternoon. But the upside is that very few people were golfing so I got to play 24 holes in under four hours. Just a fabulous day on one of the best courses in the area.
We loved the layout and hillside elevation changes. Great views too.
Staff was friendly, helpful and timely. The courseplayed great, especially for late Oct. Nobody ahead of us slowed us down, and nobody behind us was pushing. The greens were kept in good condition, although a bit slower than when I've played it before. The time of season would explain that. In very good condition overall and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend it to anyone and certainly play there again. Golf Now was GREAT for the short notice of booking and the rates were SUPER. Great experience overall.
Challenging to play and walk
Everything great but bar closes at 6pm so no beer after a good round of golf :(
A great challenge
The course was a little soft and the greens recovering from aeration when we played. We had not played Legdeview for many years and it was nice to play it again. It's a club selection challenge with so many uphill and downhill holes. You have to love the par 3's as there are no easy ones. Select the appropriate tee box as it plays longer that you may first think.
Nice course but the clubhouse and apres golf experience was poor.
Great course!
This is a great course with plenty of challenges. Also good for walking, although there is quite a bit of undulation. The greens had just been cored but they were still in great shape. The greens are quite a good size and very deceiving, it pays to have a good look before your putt! There are 2 very challenging par 3's that are over a ravine, lots of fun to try to get over, make sure you go up a club or 2. It's a beautiful course and very well maintained, most of the fairways are wide and tree-lined. It had rained a lot in the previous week so things were a bit soggy but overall it's a wonderful course and I can hardly wait to play it again!
Well maintained course with a reasonably challenging layout. Tricky greens adds to that challenge
Played for the first time and enjoyed it very much. Perched up on the mountain side created some beautiful sight lines and elevated tee's. Very lush setting and tricky greens. Next time I may take the cart as there are a couple of uphill walks that had me puffing.
Good day at Ledgeview
I haven't played this course in quite sometime and I enjoyed playing it once agaIn. The course conditions and maintenance were quite good as was the pace of play. The greens rolled true but were slower than I remember. They were challenging none the less. This course demands proper positioning off the tee to score well.
The members/guests do a good job of filling divots, raking bunkers and repairing ball marks on the green. Overall this was an above average golf experience.
short but tough
It's amazing to think that they could build this wonderful course on such a relatively small piece of hillside. Don't let the yardage on the card fool you. The course moves back and forth up and down and a lot of the 300 something par 4's play much longer because of changes in elevation You won't find many flat lies and when the greens are cut short they are as hard to putt as any I have played. The course is walkable but if you don't like climbing hills take a cart.
Really pretty course!
Great way to spend fathers day on this beautiful course!
rewards a good drive off the tee. Must be able to read large greens
Par 4 first is quite easy and lets you get warmed up. Par 4 second bit harder and then the fun starts. Number three is tight and plays uphill to a protected green , take a bogey here and move on. After that its one unique tough hole after another . Challenge this course at your own risk . I want another crack at it for sure
The course needs some TLC.
We had a mild winter but the course is not up to its usual state, some of he greens are blotchy and others are extremely soft.
The Ledge is usually in fantastic condition, it is just under par at the moment, I am sure it will be in shape soon.
Regardless, I would play it again
Really good greens
Tough walk. Lots of hills. Quite challenging. Great times. Would come back for sure.
Park like setting.
It's been a number of years since playing this course. I took advantage of a Hot Deal on Golf Now. Glad I did. I forgot how undulating the fairways and greens were. Lots of mature trees make for tee shot placement at a high premium. Approach shots require distance control and accuracy. Overall a great outing, and my only complaint would be that some of the greens were quite bumpy. So greens were inconsistent. Overall, I'd rate it 4 star but if the greens were better, 5 for sure. I'll play it again soon as I have a couple of holes I need to seek revenge on....
Ledgeview Golf Course is a hidden jewel in the Fraser Valley.
Ledgeview Golf Course is a hidden jewel in the Fraser Valley. A must play! Course conditions are pristine, every hole is individually and different, and sand bunkers are outstanding.
a very mature course without blemish; highly recommended.
a fair challenge with gorgeous terrain - all well laid out
