Ledgeview Golf and Country Club
About
Ledgeview Golf & Country Club sits on the scenic north side of Sumas Mountain. The course offers panoramic views of the valley to the west and the Coast Mountains to the north. Its hilly location provides plenty of elevation changes throughout the course. Golfers will be hard-pressed to find a flat lie anywhere on the layout. The golf course is covered with towering trees, which come into play often. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers throughout as well. Ledgeview's signature hole is the challenging eighth, which the club claims to be one of the best par 3s in all of BC. It is a tricky downhill hole that plays to a narrow green protected by sand. Trees border the entire length of the hole along the left side and a pond treacherously waits to the right.

Not a golfing day
Did not enjoy the round because it was raining so hard. Can't blame the weather nor the golf course. However it could have made a big difference if cancellation due to bad weather was in place. Still can't comprehend why GOLFNOW has suspended cancellation before teetime, I was advised that a lot of customers are reserving multiple teetimes on different golf courses and cancel last minute-lost revenue for GOLFNOW. I would like to suggest GOLFNOW to hire an IT professional to set up accounts that would prohibit from reserving multiple teetimes-which is doable. Last minute cancellation used to be one of key sell points after green fee. I hope GOLFNOW consider reinstating a modified cancellation policy soon-otherwise it does not make sense to book teetime.
Bad booking experience
I purchased a $100 gift card for my sons birthday I was told I can’t book till a week in advance I tried to book at 4:30 am and the tee times were gone already when I called the pro shop the day before I was not informed that you need to book at midnight to get a tee time extremely disappointed that I have to pay another green fee at another course for his birthday the pro shop should be giving people this information so they well aware very frustrated
+
-Undulating fairways - have to be able to hit all shots.
-Difficult greens - 12, 15, & 18 stand out but others can post problems depending on the pin.
Attractive layout.
-
-Practice facilities are poor.
-Food and beverage options are very poor (even with keeping the fire in mind).
-Never has been the most welcoming atmosphere.
-Greens occasionally covered in debris.
-Rates could come down.
Short term employement
This place sucks, they have no chef or cook on premise, those they have in the kitchen don't even know how to boil an egg. All their utensils are purchased from Value Village. Nachos are microwaved and bacon is deep fried, they have no broiler so all their burgers and steaks are done on a flat top. If you like hotdogs or premade frozen hamburgers cooked on a flat top or premade Turkey or Ham sandwiches ... this is the place for you. It may be a good place to play golf, but not the place to plan a meal, I would suggest planning your meal elsewhere. And trust me when I tell you this because I am a chef and was asked to work here but could not handle the lack of respect and the lack of communication, very bad place to work, I wouldn't advice attempting to work here unless you want a batch of headaches.
One of the very best courses in the fraser valley
What an enjoyable day playing at Ledgeview the weather was hot and the golf course was in fantastic condition. The greens are fast, the bunkers have nice sand in them and the rolling fairways were immaculate, if I lived closer I would buy a membership at Ledgeview.
Well kept course
Greens are good but fast. Great day as it looked like rain so not too many golfers out, but it turned into a great day.
Fast greens
A very nice course. A harder walk than I was expecting, I will use a power cart next time. Course in very nice condition. Lightning fast greens, difficult pin placements. If you want to shoot a good score here, better bring your A game.
The page keeps telling me I missed fields on my review.
Good course, customer service .......not what you expect
We decided to try this course for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the challenge. Some of the best greens we've played this year.
Unfortunately the young man in the pro-shop was not friendly. Another golfer ( older female) had fallen over on the dew, making her way to the practice area. I went inside and suggested he attend to see if she was okay. He did'nt which showed a lack of customer service. The lady in question was taken care of by fellow golfers.
Great course though.
Positive
This course was in great shape as the weather has not be to easy on golf courses in the area with very little rain. Not known the course hole #3 has a water hazard about 230 in the middle of the fairway and over a small rise not quite visible so I cranked a driver and guess what ! In the hazard.its a hilly course and you get a good workout if you walk !

Ledgeview
I booked online for Aug 21 and paid a portion on my credit card as required. When we arrived at the course and paid our green fees in full, we were then advised that the front 9 was closed for the day so our only option was to play the back 9 twice. When asked if there was any reduction in cost for that, we were told no. And obviously there was no indication of this situation when we booked. Extremely poor in my opinion
August Ledgview
Course had some dead spots on the fairways that were being worked on. Lots of sand in the bunkers. Greens in great shape as always.
Overall very good considering there has been no rain for many weeks.
Wonderful shape
Nice course, well maintained, but it is a difficult walking course. Some pretty long hills.
Challenging
Fun course, demanding layout but too much rain. Causing very wet conditions. Wait for dryconditions.
Ledgeview Sunday
The course drains well but it has rained so much the course is still very wet and the bunkers are very challenging too. The course is short but it is challenging as it is quite hilly with some narrow fairways and small tricky greens. It was very slow taking 5 hours to complete the round. I will play this course many times and may consider becoming a member but I want to see how much more fun it is when it dries out.
Great bang for the buck!
One of my favourite courses in the Vancouver area. It is home to a few PGA touring pros who honed their games on this challenging track.
If I lived closer I would totally think about becoming a member that is how good the course is. You will love every one of the unique par 3's on this layout!
Ledgeview
Good value course, challenging yet fair. Good greens and tee boxes. Fairways ok - will get better with improvements in weather. Can't say anything bad about this place.
Try it if you haven't been there - it is worth it - great views. If your out of shape, RENT A CART!
Cor
A wet course resulted in slow play and many errant shots. A few of the greens have been sanded as the greens have been recently aerated. The pro shop seemed in a little disarray as they have a new computer program and Golf Now players seemed to have more trouble with checking in than did others. Other than that, the scenery was great and a sunny day made the day simply great.
