Tucked away amongst the Coast Mountains and the Fraser Canyon, Royalwood Golf & RV Resort enjoys a stunning setting with views that stretch across the Lower Mainland. A variety of wildlife calls the golf course home including cranes and bald eagles. The course has a traditional links-style layout that runs alongside the Vedder Canal. There are four ponds that come into play as well as a creek that wanders through the middle of the course. Strategically placed sand bunkers and marsh areas also await errant shots. The course has a fair amount of challenges but it is still gentle enough for beginners to feel comfortable playing it. Before taking on the course, golfers can warm-up on the expansive natural grass driving range or the multiple putting and chipping greens.

public golf course

course was in fair condition. it was wet and soft in many spots. the course has improved greatly over the last few years not nearly as wet during the winter months. good course in the summer with reasonable greens to putt on. restaurant has good food with fair pricing. green fees are probably the lowest in the valley. great bang for your buck. best deal is membership. again one of the lowest in the valley for a public golf course.

Royalwood Golf & RV Resort

Take the Yale Road exit off the TransCanada Highway & squeeze in a quick game around Royalwood. This is a wide open course I've played plenty of rounds at over the years. There always seems to be a good breeze coming off the mountain that can make a few of the holes play longer than the scorecard states. Errant shots for the most part can usually be played with relative ease as the rough is forgiving. Conditioning can be a little scruffy at times (winter season) with the amount of rain that this course sees but maintenance does a good job of playing catch up. The clubhouse & pro shop staff have always been more than welcoming. If you're looking to combine a good walk & an inexpensive round of golf Royalwood will fit the bill.

Windy and Boring

The course is very much similar on this flat farming area. The course is not overly challenging as you can miss one fairway and still be fine on another.

Wind can be an issue here and it often picks up in the afternoon.

Lots of people walking on course which can lead to pace of play issues.

A hit with baby boomers, nothing specials. Other course in area to choose over Royalwood.

Paid $16 Midweek Hot Deal - well worth it!

Had a few hours to kill as my boy was in a tourney at another Chilliwack course. I checked the day before and booked 18 holes at Royalwood for $14 plus surcharges. I am a HIGH handicapper, and this course is made for the straight hitters. A lot of heavy grass just off fairways. The course is in the middle of the valley, so the winds can be very strong at times. Greens were in fantastic shape. I am the type of player who looks to leave the course in better shape than I came to it. I repaired two to three other ball marks on each green. A great value even for the full price of $35.

Good value with Golfnow

This course is very flat with few trees. The holes are delineated mostly by rough which consists of whispy native grasses which have been allowed to grow two to three feet high. Fairways are generous so make sure you stay away from the long stuff. Conditions were British Open style and the fairways are so dry, given the weather we have been having, that every shot will run out significantly. The best part are the greens which are in very good shape and will hold a descent shot.
I don't play here alot but the course is challenging enough to hold your interest.

Fun course to play, grass driving range

Royalwoods has a good mix of a few narrow fairways, challenging par 3's, and even a driveable par 4. Drainage is ok a couple of days after it rains. The grass driving range is a nice touch.

nice surprise!

by far one of the best quality-price golf courses I've played lately. playing from the gold tees make a real championship course. very few par 4's of less than 400yrds. great green and very challneging over all. I loved the chicken wings and the beer after my game at the19th.

Average day of golf

Was put out just after a full tournament so play was very slow, took over 5 hours to play. Course was nice and moderately challenging.
