Kokanee Springs Resort Club
About
Kokanee Springs Resort Club has a winding layout that wraps around a mountain, offering panoramic views of Kokanee Glacier and the surrounding countryside along the way. The golf course features long driving fairways and massive, rolling greens that require careful placement and sound strategy. Norman Woods, who designed the course, was known for his deftly designed mountain courses. Woods transformed the rugged landscape of bush, water, and rocks into a challenging championship layout. He ensured that it would be a formidable test by including 66 sand traps, 12 water hazards, and elevated, multi-leveled greens. Another of Wood's unique touches is the hundreds of feet of rock walls that sit along the tiered tee boxes at Kokanee Springs Resort Club. A well-played round on this lengthy course can take you 6.5 miles.

Hidden Gem - Best Kept Secret
We have been going to Kokanee Springs now as a group for approximately 25 years. 32 guys, 36 a day. Omar's Kokanee Classic trip. You can see by the plaques on the staircases and rock walls the number of groups that keep on coming back.
With the pandemic, our trip got moved back from June to End of August/September. Weather was perfect, course conditions were perfect, greens were perfect, and great meals at the clubhouse.
Would we be coming back, of course. Until they scatter my ashes there.
Good time
We were there for 4 nights and 4 rounds of golf. The lodge staff were great when booking. All of the staff on the course, restaurant, lessons were very friendly and accommodating.
The course is in nice shape and very enjoyable to play. Bring your range finder. A lot of Hole variety.
The local community is 5 minutes away, friendly with an amazing bakery and other quaint shops.
It’s our 2nd year and WE WILL BE BACK.
This course has something for everyone
The day we played the weather was beautiful. The course was in spectacular condition. Every time you looked around you would see another beautiful scene. Great experience.
Hidden Jewel
My favourite golf course has gotten better with new silica sand in traps and superb playing conditions. Scenery is spectacular.
A must play !
Have not played the course in a few years and found that it met all preconceived expectations. The course conditions were excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. One of my husbands favorite courses anywhere. Oh, bring extra balls !
Great little gem!
This is one of the gems of the Kootneys! This is a great course and very playable. I love this course but it is a little bit out of the way. If you are planning a trip in the area it is a must play.
Great Day
Despite being a bit of a hike to get there with the ferry ride it is always worth the effort. Kokanee Springs is a big golf course with interesting holes and beautiful vistas. This year the course was green and lush.
A Must Play
This quite Gem is a must play. The conditions of the course were spectacular. The peacefulness made it even better. In a more populated area you would pay well over a $100 to play a track of this calibre. The only down fall was the lack of GPS or booklets for yardage references on where one would really like to target or lay up to. Put this on your list or even make a weekend adventure out of it as there are great deals for stay and play vacations.
An Excellent Day
The panoramic surroundings and the course make it an eyecandy experience. The course itself, the reason you are there, is enjoyable to play because of the fairway/greens condition being so well maintained. My wife and I are weekend golfers and were fortunate that the day we played was relatively quiet and we were able to enjoy our pace. The golfers behind us must have felt the same as when we signaled for them to play through, they declined.
Overall just a great afternoon at a "have-to-come-back" to play again. This is the third time that we have done the distance to play this course and will do so again.
Ecellent Course in Stunning Setting
Play at times very challenging,
great greens and fairways.
Stunning snow covered peaks
in background. Some tough
water hazards across a raging
creek.
