Delta Golf Club
About
Formerly the site of a cedar swamp, Delta Golf Club was covered in blackberry bushes when it was being developed in 1971. The golf course was completed in a record 64 days and opened officially in 1975. Since then, the course has garnered a faithful following due to its player-friendly layout featuring wide-open fairways and immense, approachable greens. The club is also known for its friendly atmosphere and the affordable green fees. The masters-length layout has an interesting variety of holes with a good mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s. There are trees dotting the golf course, especially along the fairways, and strategically placed bunkers, both of which require accurate shot making. Putting on the fast greens also requires some skill. Delta Golf Club is made even more challenging by the water hazards that come into play throughout.

Rough
Rough rough rough.....never lost that many balls in a fairway. Someone please mow and groom the fairways. Never going back!
Disappointed
I've played this course for 20 years. I've never seen it in such poor condition. My group lost so many balls in the fairway it's almost unbelievable. I've play this course in 3 1/4 hours in the past. This round took 4 1/2 because we spent so much time looking for balls that shouldn't be lost. Maybe their mower is broken, I don't know. Won't be back. Very sad.
Gem Destroyed
Delta Golf Club, in the past, was a course that made for good golf and a pleasant day. Unfortunately the new owners have neglected it to the extent that it is not fun. The tee boxes need grooming, as do the fairways.
It was always a “go-to” course, it is now the worst course that I have ever played on.
Garbage!
I grew up playing this course for last 20 years and over the last 10 years it’s gone down hill in condition. Last 3 years it’s gotten really bad. It’s actually quite upsetting as I use to love to play this course and now absolutely hate it and will never ever go back until it changes owners and the course is redone to get it in better playing condition. Fairways are being played like you’re playing in the rough... medium to deep rough... this course is absolute garbage! Never play it again
Pretty.rough course
The condition of the course was poor to fair at best. Fairways are not very well mowed, and the greens were pretty bumpy.
I guess it was to be expected for $34/round.
Great Place to Play
Nice course, economical, friendly............. but cut the grass!!!
The rough was US Open level. It is frustrating loosing balls 10 feet off the fairway because the grass is so thick.
It may have been because of recent rains and then sunny weather, but they need to react faster.
Otherwise, a great place to spend time and i will be back.
May 23/19-Roughs were pretty rough
Some fairways weren’t groomed too well either this day. A prior time we played here this season we found the fairways were groomed better as I recall.
No fairways
Brutal One hole saw signs of a mower. Greens were worse than aerated greens.Tee box .No grass and no straight box.Water in ball washers empty. Bethpage has nothing on this. Felt like I walked on a beach for ten miles. So bad I cant even compare it to other duds. Never again. Not even if they paid me
Nice layout
Poor condition of course. Rough was not well groomed or cut. Fairways not cut well and at times grass too long to even find the ball. Greens were poor.
Big downturn in care of the course
We have played this course a few times in the last couple of years, and were pleasantly surprised. Previously the upkeep of the course was excellent. Good greens, fairways, bunkers, everything. The course now is a shell of what it was just last year (we played on the same weekend last year). It was very swampy, which is not the course's fault. But nothing is mown. We were losing balls after landing in the fairway. It added an hour to our round. The greens are all pock-marked. Most of the bunkers have grass growing in them, showing that they haven't been groomed since last year! It's like they cut their staff by 90%. What a letdown. We won't be back any time soon.
What a disapointment !
Played this course many time over the years. Really gone down hill since new ownership. Very poor up keep.. Green look like it has some kind of fungus problem. Puts dance all over the place, Very poor shape. Needs serious maintenance done.
Fairways in good shape for early spring round
Greens far from in great shape, though, but still very playable for early in season. We were there on a beautiful sunny day, around 17 degrees.
Goat pasture
The course is in no playing condition. Don't bother bringing a putter. Walking the fairways feels like you're going to turn an ankle . Course layout is so mixed up. The next closest hole is never the next one.
Delta Golf Course
First round of the season on a beautiful day. It was spongy in some spots but very few puddles and soggy areas. It rained a bit the week before but we got a few days of warm, sunny weather before I played on Wednesday. Greens had an odd fungus or some sort of bloom growing on them which made putting challenging (greens weren’t exactly slow, but were bumpy), but all in all, the course was in pretty good shape.
Nice layout, super friendly guy.
We are late, but no problem, finish quickly and enjoyed, thanks.
