Cowichan Golf and Country Club
About
With views of Cowichan Bay and surrounding mountains, this golf course lures golfers with its sedate rural charm. Here, fairways range from open to tight as they flow through orchards and tall stands of trees. Cowichan is the locals' secret that outsiders are thrilled to find out about in Duncan.

Reviews
Nice Course. Nice people.
The golf course is interesting and in nice shape. The employees are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed every round I have played there. It is a good course to walk too.
A very fair test of Golf.
The course was wet but well maintained and the greens were in surprisingly great shape. Norm (pro) was a very gracious host. I'd recommend this course to players of any handicap.
This course was in great condition for October 27.
This was our first Golf Now booking.
The process was easy and the course was well informed.
Just a perfect autumn afternoon!
Couldn't have enjoyed it more, unless we had a hole in one out there. Plenty of people on the course, but no delays and no one rushing the pace of play. The course is in great condition, especially the greens at this time of year. Looks like some work being done on new tees that will be nice. A very inviting and welcoming facility!
great variety of holes
Not hard to walk for an older guy. Nice old, country feel to it. Some finesse shots needed to avoid trouble off the tee.
Nice Outing
My wife is a beginner so long carries off the tee was not an option. This course is approachable in that regard with lots of room to spray balls into adjoining fairways on some holes. A bit unorthodox layout but playable. Fairways and greens were good. No marshalls on a busy day so the pace was WAY TOO leisurely....but my wife liked it!
Decent course.
Good course to play. Had 11 temporary greens when we played which wasn't ideal and we had no idea there were temporary greens, and we probably wouldn't have played had we known.
Easy to find your golf ball!
We played on a day that was partly cloudy with a chance of showers so it was not too busy. The fairways were quite open with a few running downhill. The greens were a little more difficult to read not having played the course before. They were a little slow putting but approach shots would run off a long way if hit onto the wrong part of the green! It was an enjoyable round overall as any less than straight shots could still be found.
This course is fun to play
This course all thought busy, play moved along well. It has some challenging holes, would be more so if the weather was wetter. Creeks would be running.
We love this course!
It would be nice to see some water stations around the course for those hot, summer days.
great fun
for the first timer it is going to test the sure shots
Short course in fine summer condition
Played in 3 1/2 hrs. on a Saturday afternoon in mid summer. Staff were very friendly and offered an early start as the course was open (British Open) was on TV at the time. The range is irons only which was fine for what we wanted. $3.50 for a small bucket of newer range balls. The putting green and practice bunker were in excellent condition as was the course throughout our round. The beverage cart was by at least twice each nine.
Mosquitos were controlled by "mosquito guns" and I was not bothered by them. Greens rolled very smoothly and the bunkers were all in good shape with fine sand.
All in all, a very good experience at a great price.
GREAT COURSE
Cowichan is a fabulous course -- it's in great condition and well looked after and the pro staff are the best.
Playable year round
It is a well maintained course with a good variety of fairways. Not difficult par 70, but may need to have its slope rating reviewed, seems low.
Nice Sunday golf!
This course was hard to find because we went to the bay first to take the scenic route but we could not find it the back way, so keep on the highway. This course is ladies friendly, they put the tees where they should be way in front of the guys, some holes almost over 75 yds. up!! Love the course, was very busy, we rented a cart because it was close to 80’*, and being from Hawaii that is very warm, with no trade winds, too hot for us to walk. The cart price was too much, though. In hawaii usually the cart is included at most resorts. Love Victoria golf lots of walking courses! I would recommend this course to play.
great value for the buck
great value for the price Easy booking and solid service from the staff at Cowichan
sunny days
Couldn't get used to the slow greens but they were aerated in the last 8 days, and the reduced price was reflective of the previous maintenance.
Otherwise, I was very pleased with the April conditions, the speed of play, and overall enjoyment of the day.
Has all emenities
For this time of year the course was in a little better than average shape, with some mushy ground in the 2nd cut.
I liked the course layout with some challenging and scenic holes.
Great Value and frienly staff.
The course was very soggy. Needs better drainage. Enjoyed the day and Clubhouse after.
Cowichan Valley must, was not expecting it to be this good, I was proven wrong
I now live in the area and from my very first game 7 years ago I was pleasantly surprised, this is a great little course. Always a pleasure to play. It has a few very interesting holes I aways find very challenging.
