West Palm Beach Golf Course has hosted a variety of tournaments since opening in 1947, some that have included famous players such as Arnold Palmer. This historic course stands out from all of the area's public courses. Unlike Florida's many flat courses, West Palm Beach has an undulating terrain that provides interesting elevation changes. The course features elevated tees and greens and rarely is there a flat lie. The rolling hills are covered with native vegetation, palm trees, and mature pines and oaks. There is also no water to be found on the golf course, another rare occurrence in this area. In 2009, the course underwent a major renovation that made it environmentally friendly. There is also a full grass driving range and large practice area that overlook West Palm Beach Golf Course.

DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME
This is the worst golf course I have ever played. The fairways were all sand, the greens were awful. The price was cheap but not even worth the $32 for the round. I feel there is a bunch of false reviews out there because no one in their right mind would recommend this course. very slow play and no marshal. Tee time was late, and no one seemed to care.
You got to be kidding
I can’t believe this place is still. Letting course going down hill, just sand and dirt. They blamed to hurricane. Really this place has not been taking care of in years. Watch and see it will for sale. Built in 1947 and still no club house. With out a doubt this is the worst course I have every played in 40 years.

Layout is fine. Almost no grass on fairways.. They really need to water... Maybe city own, could be the reason so dry...
Dreadful
A once immaculate well maintained course surrounded lavishly with pine trees and classic old clubhouse is now an almost barren wasteland surrounded by sickly scrubs and more sugar sand than should be allowed. Wirh a trailer for a pro shop. The fairways are almost non existant with sparse geass and huge areas of dirt and sand. Realky a shame they let this go. It's very sad.

This course was rated on golf now has a 2 1/2 star. It deserves nothing more than a one star if that. Course is in terrible condition and should offer discounts. There is no grass on the fairway or rough. Don’t waste your time.
NEVER AGAIN
A few years ago I played this course and it was nice. It is now completely unkempt. Sand in the middle of the fairway that made your ball stop dead in its tracks, even on a good drive. I will never play there again. I wish I could get my money back. I actually stopped playing at the 14th hole.
Either it's going to be renovated or closed.
I have played this course for 20 yrs and in recent years it's condition has declined greatly. It has very friendly staff and the layout is good. Unfortunately it is extremely obvious that the irrigation has been turned off for everything except the tee and green tops for some time. Most fairways are now dirt, this isn't fair to the entire staff of the club because they are all great people. The club's legacy doesn't deserve this either it seems local politicians are at fault. To say I'm disappointed is a understatement.
Beginners course
This course is not for anyone who doesn’t love sand & lots of it, in the bunkers, fairways, rough , all over & deep to boot.
Very few ball washers & no towels on the few there.
Although it is nicely mapped out with wide fairways. The greens were ok. We still had a lot of fun.

The course is in poor condition, fairways and tees are bare. Not worth the time

like playing in one big sand trap!! there was no grass at all in the fairways all sand I don't think they do any watering. will not play this course again.the only good thing was that the greens were in better shape than the fairways
West palm
Terrible condition in the fairways. Many extremely bare areas in the middle of the fairways. The however were in pretty good condition.
Reasonable
The staff was very friendly but the course is in need of help - there’s more sand than grass. It was still nice to get out and swing the clubs and the price was reasonable.
