The owner is trying to develop the course into homes. They are not spending any money on the maintenance. The greens were actually in good shape, but the fairways, ** AWEFUL **.

Played early as a single and finished in about 2.5 hrs. Very nice greens.. Course was in good condition overall considering that it is supposed to close in April. This is a course worth playing before it closes for good. I hope to be back for subsequent rounds over the next couple of months.

Our 4 ball enjoyed the course and the staff were very good and friendly, it will be a shame if this course closes as we were told it may as it is well worth a visit. Good value for money.

We enjoyed golfing on this course. Both greens and fairways are in terrific condition. We hope that they don't close this course in 2016 because we would definitely return.

It was probably a great course at one time. I heard it was going to close soon. It made sense course is not being kept up like it should. I thought it was expensive for the condition. It's to bad I hate to see any course on its way out

We got to tee off 10 minutes early. The pace of play was excellent. Fairways and green in very good shape. A few wet spots to watch out for. Smooth sailing on the front nine. The back nine has some challenging holes. The bunkers were in good shape. Wish there was a snack cart out on the course though water was available at several spots. Done early and had a great outing. A great value especially for this time of year. Would be a loss to the community if this course were to close.

I always play this course on holiday I think it is a crime to close a golf course like this for housing someone is very greedy I feel very sorry for the people that live around this beautiful course that is being taken away from them

We arrived at the course to see an announcement that it will close in March. Apparently, the owner wants to develop housing on it. I thought the course may be in need of attention because of this. We went off ahead of a large group of members, and thought we had better get a move on. Pace of play was not a problem, as there is little rough, and we got round the course in 3 hours and 5 minutes. I can't remember the last time I did that anywhere. The course was in great condition overall, despite the greens having had a light top dressing. They putted well at a decent pace.The course is tree lined, and very well designed, with bunkering that is reasonably demanding without being too difficult.
Overall it was a joy to play, and to close it would be
a sacrilege. I don't know how old it is, but the whole layout is attractive, with a nice mix of dog legs winding you through the trees. It all looks very mature, and was the most attractive of the 10 courses we played during our recent holiday.in Orlando.

The course is starting to over seeding so, it is a little rough. greens are great. Hope this course is not gong away.

We've played this course several times and never get tired of it. Too bad it is closing in April 2016. We will miss it. Get out to play while you can.

This was a dissapointing experience. We have been playing there for several years and could see the course has deterriorated year after year. Now it can be considered as in poor shape.. Not recommended and will not go back again.

Very nice course for the moderate to good player. It is a pitty that the course will be closed in year 2016 due to development houses etc. I enjoyed playing here for a good rate of @40 $

Windermere is one of our absolute favorites in the Orlando area. It is always in very good condition, friendly staff and it plays fast. We sincerely hope the course will "live".

Failed to spot when booking it was an overseeding day so only front nine available to play! Staff good, cart tired, holes we played we enjoyed and a nice layout.

We always come back to play this course when we visit Orlando fair tests of golf for both high and low handicap golfers the bar and food facilities are always good but when we visited this year they where closed on Tuesday's which was a disappointment as we liked to sit on the balcony overlooking the course for a cool beer and a snack after our round

Really like the course layout and pricing but the course appears to be deteriorating since i first played two years ago.
No staff to greet our foursome and arrange power carts - only a young guy at the cash who didn't appear to be very informed or concerned about anything.
Tried four carts with dead batteries before getting two that worked. Course was in poor condition in some places. No starter or staff to clean clubs on finishing. Really too bad because course is very enjoyable to play. Can't recommend because of the deficiencies compared to other courses in the area.
