First round after achilles tear
Shadow Ridge is one of the nicest courses in the Okanagan THAT IS VERY WALKABLE! I am a body therapist and work with a lot of "Baby Boomers". Many of these individuals have had hips or knees replaced and a good walk is great exercise for these joints without over doing it.
Make it fun but keep moving!
And remember: "If you have an issue, it's in the tissue"
A few problems
When we got to the course we were told that the cart was not included
The pro shop did make it right, but maybe you should talk to them and
Fix that.
Also I did not get an email to confirm. Please let me know what you find out
Challenging
This course is a good challenge. There are water hazards at or near several holes. Fairways are forgiving, but once off them, good luck retrieving your ball. Disappointed we didn't see the beverage cart until the 12th hole (tee off was 11:15).
Very satisfied
Very satisfied with this course. Great value for the money.
Decent municipal course, try somewhere else
This course plays like a typical municipal type course. The greens were just sanded and we weren't told about it, no discount for conditions. Very disappointing. Good value for annual dues members, not so much for general public. For a few dollars more, play Black Mountain.
Rushed and Rude
Rushed for no Reason, was playing within expected time frame.
the marshal got in the way, he was rude and abrasive to 3 gentleman in their 70"s and denied his wrong doings. 7 golfers were appalled and left the coarse as a result and will never return to this coarse again. Was not even offered an apology.
7 players with a combined experience of approximately 250 years of golfing worldwide agreed this is the worse coarse in North America {Based on playing this coarse 3 times in two years}
Good value
overall decent conditions right now. Good value. Easy flat walk.
Nice to be golfing in November
Course was in fairly good condition considering it is close to season end. Greens were very slow. Food was very limited but again due to time of season. Would golf again.
Gorgeous views
Gigantic weeping willows line narrow fairways making a very senic golf course. Sand and water come into play to add to the challenge of many of the holes.
Good greens,nice course to walk,challenging enough .
Friendly staff in pro shop, easy course to walk ,good greens and fairways fine .Great price .
Ok golf
The course gets lost in the shuffle in Kelowna because there are many great courses. It's not a bad little course.Small smooth greens are tough to hit. Not a long course and easily walked, which is rare nowadays. Lots of giant willow trees make tee shots tight in spots. Doesn't blow you away with anything exceptional but will test you and is quite resistant to scoring. If you can get it on golfnow for a good price go play. No range hurts
Good Value
Mature course ,very flat, nice walk. lots of large mature trees, enough water to make it challenging
Willow Beauties
You cannot go wrong with the Golfnow deals you can get for this course. Well worth the money and the short drive to get there.
The course is beautifully laid out with the many gorgeous willow trees and is easily walkable since it's quite flat.
I was paired up with long time members Dick and Irene. Many thanks for the on-course instruction Dick.
I will definitely return to this course on future visits to Kelowna.
Great Day!!!!
We were warmly welcomed by James(great sense of humour). Pace was great and all golfers on the course seemed to be extremely friendly. Overall we really enjoyed the day. Thank you
Nice and flat
Easy to walk. Great value when you book with this app.
Great mature course at a reasonable price.
For an easy walk and challenge recommend this one for the value. You play the same whether you pay $100+ or $50. Don't kid yourself.
Easy to walk course, relatively flat, however, I chose to ride due to weather.
Shadow Ridge is one of my favourite courses to play in Kelowna for many reasons. The layout of the course, course condition is always excellent and one of the most friendly and accommodating staff's you will find at any Okanagan golf course. Can't wait to play it next time.
Nice walkable course
Course is in good condition and a very nice course to walk because of it's flat terrain. Very large mature trees line the fairway, if your in the trees chip out difficult to get over.
Fair price. nice condition.
Played first off tee. Fast pace. Very walkable course. Enough yardage to use all clubs in your bag. Willow trees that line fairways are spectacular. The rough, although not too long, is definitely a challenge and will show up on your card. Greens are smallish but are in good condition and roll true.
Usually carts aren't included in the price unless carts are mandatory on that course. Ie. A mountain course which makes walking extremely difficult.
